Do you want to really live?
Would you love to live
a long, happy life?
Watch your mouth.
Every one of you is important.
Every one of you,
your words carry weight.
The Bible says in the
book of wisdom (Proverbs):
“Life and death”
“is in the power”
“of the tongue.”
A lot depends on this
because this is the
mark of royalty!
You’re not an ordinary Christian.
You are a Christian
with a different spirit!
The Lord gave you that
authority and gift
to speak and it happens.
So guard what you speak!
I have a question to ask all
of you, and this is the
question. Ready? “Do you
want to really live?
Would
you love to live a long,
happy life?” This is from
the Bible. I love this
translation because it
brings out the Hebrew. In
the King James, it says, “Do
you love life and see many
days?” Amen. “Do you want to
really live? Would you love
to live a long, happy life?”
It’s in the Bible, amen. How
many of you like that?
Angels taking notes… All
those at home… You should
be here. The first condition
if you want a long, happy
life, you must attend
physically, amen? So what is
the condition? Keep on
reading. It says, “Come
children, Listen to me. I’ll
teach you,” this is how it
starts, “what it means to
fear the LORD. Do you want
to really live? Would you
love to live a long, happy
life? Then make sure you
don’t speak evil words or
use deceptive speech. Turn
away from evil and do what
is right. Strive for peace
and promote it.” Notice it
begins with, “Children.” The
Father is talking to you. I
want to teach you the fear
of the Lord. So we have all
kinds of ideas about the
fear of the Lord in the body
of Christ. In fact, there
seems to be a revival of
teaching on the fear of the
Lord the Old Testament way.
In other words–you know, I
heard someone say sometime
when I was younger, many
years ago, he says that the
fear of the Lord is very
simple. No need to define
it. It just means vanilla
fear of God, all right? You
know, it’s pure. It’s just
fear. You fear someone, you
fear the Lord. Somehow it
never sat well with me when
I heard that. When I was
reading Romans 8 one day, I
came to a verse that says,
“You have not received the
spirit of bondage again to
fear.” Notice, “Again.” Paul
is writing by the Spirit and
telling the believers, “You
have not received the spirit
of bondage again to fear,”
and the whole context there
is about relationship with
God. And for a child of God,
you have not received the
spirit of bondage again to
fear. What kind of fear?
Slavish fear, the fear of
God, that kind of fear that
you fear him. Is there a
fear of the Lord? Yes, there
is, but this is how it’s
defined. The fear of the
Lord is seen in how– You
can say, “I fear God, I fear
God,” and not watch over
your mouth. Because the very
verse says what? “I’ll teach
you what it means to fear
the Lord. Would you love to
live a long, happy life?
Make sure you don’t speak
evil words, don’t use
deceptive speech.” In the
world we live in today, we
can say there’s no fear of
the Lord, right? And of
course the people of the
world will not have the fear
of the Lord, but what is the
true fear of the Lord for
believers? Watch your mouth.
Set a guard– And this is
becoming more and more lax.
People complain, people
slander very easily. They
insult, they post, all
right, their comments. These
are also words. And many
times they take majority as
truth. Majority is not
always truth. The majority
of the people of Israel,
when the fly–when the Bible
tells us that, “I give you a
land flowing with milk and
honey,” the Bible says,
right, “Go in and possess,”
what did they do? Instead of
rushing in, flying in to
possess the land, all right,
because God has given to us,
they spoke bad of the land.
And how many of them spoke?
Majority. Majority was wrong
and majority of them
suffered the consequence.
Only two of them, Joshua and
Caleb, said, “We are able to
possess the land,” and
Joshua and Caleb lived to a
long, good life. Caleb at
the age of 85 said, “I’m as
strong today as I was the
day Moses sent me,” because
he believed God. God says,
“He has a different spirit
about him. I like this boy.”
In fact, the Bible says,
literally, “God said, ‘Caleb
will enter the land because
he has a different spirit.'”
You know, as I was preparing
for this message, the Lord
showed me this. “I want you
to fire up the people and
impart the Spirit of faith
to them,” amen. You’re not
an ordinary Christian. You
are a Christian with a
different spirit. Like what
the Father said of Caleb, He
said, “He has a different
spirit,” amen, the Spirit of
faith. And what is the
Spirit of faith? I believe
and therefore I speak. We
also believe and therefore
speak. When you think about
it, the world emphasizes
doing. They will say, you
know, all talk is nothing,
okay? It’s the doing that’s
important. When you think
about it, it makes sense,
natural sense, yes. But for
royalty, the way God
ordained you to be, and when
God first made man, God made
man the crowning creation,
all right, over all His
creation. God made man
special, above. We didn’t
evolve from animals. God
made man in His image, amen,
therefore you are royal. You
were created to rule. God
says to man, “Have
dominion.” That’s why it was
such a big travesty for Adam
to sin when the snake came.
He had authority over the
creeping thing that creeped,
and he bowed actually and
obeyed the creeping thing,
amen. At that time, it
wasn’t creeping yet. Because
of the sin, that snake came
down to its form. It used to
walk. It was upright. And
they say that when you look
at the way a snake is built,
you look at the anatomy of a
snake, you can find there
are atrophied feet.
Atrophied feet. So they say
this is proof of evolution.
No, it’s not. It’s to show
it once walked, amen.
Evolution, everything
degenerates. It doesn’t
become to a higher form.
Everything in life
degenerates. You leave a hot
coffee for awhile, it
becomes cold. It doesn’t
become hotter until your mug
explodes in smithereens. You
leave your garden alone, it
will grow thorns, weeds. It
doesn’t become a beautiful
garden. You have to work at
making the garden work. But
then God made man to rule
over everything that He has
made. That’s why God made
man last, so man would rule
everything, amen, for His
glory. And God made man in
His image. You’re not made
in the image of a monkey.
You are made in the image of
God, in the likeness of God.
And how did God create? How
did God get things done? How
did God effect situations?
He spoke. It’s a privilege
of royalty to speak. They
speak, and things happen.
Okay, we understand that for
the chickens and all that,
Adam can use a stick, all
right, and just drive them
to a certain corner, or
whatever he wants–wherever
he wants to drive them, but
what happens when there’s a
big dinosaur that he has to
control? Back in those days,
they obeyed man. He just had
to speak and the animals
obeyed. Today, that power is
gone, amen? You speak to the
lion, the lion want to speak
back. The lion bows his head
and you say, “There, it
worked.” He’s saying grace.
Where is that authority?
Where is that dominion over
every creeping thing that
creepeth? It’s gone. There
it is in the dust, his crown
that God crowned Adam with.
The Bible says God crowned
Adam with glory and honor.
It’s an all-encompassing
glory and honor that all the
animals obeyed him. So
royalty speaks and it
happens. That’s why faith is
an exercise of authority,
amen. It is you speak. Evil
spirit obey the authority
that you have in the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
We think that a policeman
who is in charge of traffic,
if he goes to sleep or just
scroll on his, you know,
social media or whatever
while he’s on duty, all
right, that’s a
mismanagement, amen? That’s
being irresponsible, amen.
He must be held accountable.
What about believers who
know that they have
authority and they’re not
using it? So much like–same
like the policeman, he sees
someone robbing someone, and
he’s just busy scrolling.
Yeah, before you say amen,
all right, let me just say
this. That’s the reason we
need to see this world in a
different way than what the
social media is trying to
present to us. They say that
the more you try, the harder
you try, the world will be a
better place. No, the world
is crying. The world is
groaning, amen, and it will
groan some more. That’s why
Jesus will come back and
establish a new heaven and a
new earth in the millennial
rule. The Bible says
everything that’s happening,
yes, we can call it, all
right, the climate is
changing. Yes, I agree
completely, but it’s
changing because, you know
why? Man was made to be in
authority over creation.
When man fell, creation
fell. And every time man
falls further in sin, in all
kinds of lawlessness, the
creation under them, the
earth even groans. Look at
countries that have murdered
thousands upon thousands in
their history. They hardly
can grow a decent crop. They
have to import grain from
abroad. I can tell you
stories of countries that
they are believers that
worship the Lord and that,
and countries just next door
where they kill believers
and many martyrs have died.
Their ground shares the same
sun, same seasons, but this
one here is fruitful, this
one here is struggling. Why?
The earth is rebelling. God
said to Cain when he
murdered his brother Abel,
the first murder in the
Bible, and it’s all about
the issue of approaching
God. One believed that by
his works, he can approach
God. The other one came by
the blood of the lamb, amen?
And the one that believed in
his efforts was jealous of
the one that was accepted by
God because his trust is not
in his works but in the
blood of the lamb, a picture
of Jesus Christ, and the
first murder happened. He
killed his brother. What did
God say to him? “The voice
of your brother’s blood
cries to Me from the ground.
Now the ground will not
yield to you his strength,”
the Bible says. “The ground
will not yield to you his
strength.” So ground respond
to man. You call it
vibrations or whatever from
man. I don’t care what you
call it, they respond to
man: man’s righteousness,
man’s lawlessness. Praise
God. Righteousness exalts a
nation. That’s why the Bible
says of believers, “You are
the salt of the earth.” And
salt keeps things from being
corrupted. In those days,
it’s the refrigerator. Salt,
they have salted fish even.
In fact, Magdala, the city
of Magdala by the Lake of
Galilee has been known to
be, during the time of
Jesus, a place where they
salt fish, the salted fish
industry. It’s just by the
Lake of Galilee, amen. You
are the salt of the earth.
You keep things from being
corrupted. That’s why you
are planted there by God in
your workplace. You say, “I
wanna work among Christians.
I wanna work among
Christians.” No point being
the salt shaker, everyone is
a salt shaker. Shake, shake,
shake, shake. Shake, rattle,
roll. But you’re still all
salt, amen? Yeah, all those
full-time in New Creation
Church right now is
thinking, “Pastor.” Okay,
you have a calling, all
right? You have a calling,
but it’s time for it to be
reversed. Many people envy
those who are working in
church. Let me tell you
this, God trusts you to put
you out there because He
wants to salt that place. He
also calls us, “You are the
light of the world. A city
that is set on a hill cannot
be hidden.” When Jesus said
that in the Sermon on the
Mount–many of you have been
to Israel– there was a city
really high, a town where it
can be seen near the Lake of
Galilee and the Sermon on
the Mount where it was
preached. Jesus pointed to
that city. Just like that
city sat on a hill, no one
can miss it. You are the
light of the world. You’re
like a city sat on a hill,
amen? And that means you
shine. You shine. Even when
you don’t realize it, you
are shining. Praise the
Lord. You know, I thank God
for all those who are in the
body of Christ, serving in
the body of Christ, because
let me tell you this. Today
I share someone–with
someone some of the things
that God put on my heart
just now only that the work
that she is doing is not
menial. I was telling her,
amen. The ushers, the
servers, there’s no menial
work. You know, when the
Tabernacle was moving from
place to place, amen, they
had to dismantle the
Tabernacle, the pillars, the
coverings, the different
curtains, amen, and also the
little pins and nails, and
pins. It’s more like–not so
much nails, but the pins
that put them together. The
small, small people
responsible for them. The
Merarites, they are
responsible for the little
pins that put all the
Tabernacle together. Imagine
if they are–they say, “My
job is just mediocre job,
you know? I envy those who
are carrying the Ark of the
Covenant.” The Lord gave you
that authority and that
gift, amen, to speak and it
happens. That’s why the
Spirit of faith is like
this: I believe and
therefore I speak. We also
believe and therefore speak.
So guard what you speak,
amen? And every one of you
is important. Every one of
you, your words carry
weight. Imagine, like the
Merarites that’s responsible
for the pins, when they go
to another location and God
says, “Now build the
Tabernacle again,” they have
to because the Tabernacle is
dismantled. It doesn’t move
in its complete form.
Different ones are
responsible for the Ark, the
furniture, the table of
shewbread, the candelabra,
and different ones are
responsible for the
curtains, and the pillars.
There’s the Kohathites
responsible for the
furnitures, holy furnitures;
and the Gershonites
responsible for the pillars,
the curtains; and the
Merarites, the pins.
Imagine, finally you say,
“We can’t find. We are
missing five pins.” And the
five pins are the
responsibility of someone
who says, “My job is just
mediocre, so I just put this
pin here, lor, anyhow, lah.
All right, it will still
stand.” Great accidents in
history have happened
because a small, small– you
know, shall we say not just
accident, but carelessness,
misplaced, a slipshod
attitude toward small
things. So everyone’s role
is glorious. If a Merarite
holds the pin and he says,
“Hallelujah, what a
responsibility. I have power
to put Tabernacle together,”
amen. If not, nothing will
stand. All of us need one
another, amen? So that’s my
sermon. Praise the Lord.
Thank You, Jesus,
hallelujah. So it’s not
just, “Do you want to really
live a long, happy life?
Make sure you don’t speak
evil words or use deceptive
speech. Turn away from evil
and do what is right. Strive
for peace and promote it.”
Now, in a sense, it’s what
you call negative
instruction. That means,
“Don’t, don’t,” all right?
Don’t speak evil words.
Don’t speak deceptive
speeches, right? Am I right?
It’s negative instruction.
God’s way is always
positive, okay? Now, in case
you are wondering, “Oh
Pastor, you are quoting from
an Old Testament passage,
Psalms 34,” then let me
bring you to 1 Peter 3. In 1
Peter 3, this is quoted by
the Apostle Peter, which
means it applies for new
covenant people. Can I have
a good amen? Look, it says
here, “For ‘He who would
love life,'” this is New
King James, “and see good
days.” How many want to see
good days? How many want to
see good days? Not just a
long life, but a long life
of good days, amen? “Let him
refrain his tongue from
evil, and his lips from
speaking deceit. Let him
turn away from evil and do
good; let him speak–seek
peace and pursue it.” So
this is a quotation from
Psalms 34 that we just read,
but this is New Testament so
it applies for us. God still
wants you to live a long,
good life, full of good
days. Like what I shared,
David, Abraham, all of them,
when they died satisfied
with days, amen. Doesn’t
mean that they have many,
many, many, many, long life
of good days, all right?
“Satisfied with days” means
it’s a good day. You know
that day when you feel like
it’s a good day today?
You’ll have many of it. And
the secret is in your mouth.
So we have a negative
instruction that tells us,
“Restrain from speaking evil
words,” amen, but God in the
New Testament puts something
there that helps us
completely. God says, “If
any man,” in James, “can
tame his tongue–” You know,
the same tongue by which we
worship God, with the same
tongue we curse man. “But
Pastor, I don’t curse man.
Ever since I was saved, I
don’t curse anymore, eh.”
But you know what’s a curse?
A curse is speaking
something that puts someone
down, amen. Malign, slander,
untruth about someone. For
example, when Jesus cursed
the fig tree, all right,
what did Jesus say? He did
not say, “I curse you,”
right? What did He say? “No
man eat fruit from you
hereafter forever.” So when
you say, “Aiyah, you,” you
tell your son, “you’re
forever careless. You’re
always careless,” you just
placed a curse. So God says,
“If anyone can tame their
tongue, he’s a perfect man.”
Whoa, I didn’t say it. You
find it in the Book of
James, all right? More like
a complete man in every
area, complete in his
character, amen? No one can
be perfect in his behavior
this side of heaven until
Jesus comes, amen, and we
have a brand new body, but
the idea there is that you
will be a whole character.
You’ll be complete. You know
the word “integrity,” amen,
is someone who is
integrated, complete. You
know the word “dis-ease,
disease” comes from the word
“dis-ease,” when there’s no
ease, there’s no
completeness. “Shalom” means
completeness. “Shalom” is
used for health. The
word–Hebrew word for
“shalom,” the word there is
used for wholeness, peace.
It’s an all-encompassing
word. Well-being, wholeness,
right, amen? You know the
word “holy” in English
actually has its root in the
word “whole,” complete.
That’s why when we are not
holy, it means we are doing
something that is not
according to our high
calling that God has placed
you. You’re acting like a
beast. You’re acting like a
monkey. You are acting like
a–you know, you are ruled
by your body. So what do I
do then? Well, God has given
us a gift. And some of you
know by now Pastor Prince is
gonna preach on this. Sooner
or later, he will preach on
this. Because you know why?
I get revelation about this
from the Lord all the time,
amen. It is a gift that
happened when the church was
born. The church
birthday–you know the
birthday of the church? When
is it? The Day of Pentecost.
And what happened on the Day
of Pentecost? The Holy
Spirit came, amen. And where
did He come on? Mount Zion,
because the first Pentecost
was when the Children of
Israel, where were they? In
the–in the Old Testament,
in the wilderness of Sinai,
before the Mount of Sinai.
All right, they were there.
They were there before Mount
Sinai when God gave them the
law. Are you listening,
people? That was the–Jewish
people will tell you that,
all right? The religious
Jews, they will tell you,
“This was our first
Pentecost.” Just like their
Passover was when they put
the blood on the doorpost,
right? This is their first
Pentecost. Cut a long story
short, it ended up with
3,000 people died at the
foot of the mountain, okay?
You fast-forward, New
Testament, the Bible says,
“When the Day of Pentecost
was fully come, God gave now
not the law, but the Spirit,
and the result is 3,000 were
saved.” But it’s on a
different mountain. It’s on
the Mount Zion. And Mount
Zion, the Bible says, “This
is the mountain I love,” God
says. God chose Mount Zion.
In fact, in Psalms 132, it
says like this, “The Lord
has chosen Zion.” God
purposely picked, of all the
mountains– in fact, there’s
a verse. Actually, maybe I
should have given you that
verse, but there’s a verse
that says God is challenging
all the other mountains
that’s famous, and God says,
“Why are you so envious of
Mount Zion?” You know
there’s a verse like that in
the Bible? Oh, you thought
you know the Bible, ah? Do
you know this verse or not?
It says that God is talking
to–challenging all the
mountains and God says, “All
you mountains, you great,
big mountains,” He says,
“why are you looking at
Mount Zion with envy?” Why?
God chose Mount Zion. So if
Mount Sinai is law given and
3,000 died, Mount Zion is
where they were gathered,
the disciples, apostles, and
believers on the Day of
Pentecost, and this time God
gave the–not the law, but
the Spirit, and 3,000 people
were saved. Three thousand
died here at Mount Sinai.
Three thousand were saved.
The Bible says the letter,
the law kills, but the
Spirit gives life, amen? He
always gives life. Now, we
call healing “healing”
because, you know, it’s
easier to express it, and
the Bible talks about
healing as well, but more
than healing, more than the
word “healing,” the Bible
uses the word “life,” to
give life, to quicken your
body. That’s to give life to
your body. When you received
healing for your knee, God
released life. And people
are losing life. The Bible
says, you know, the– “When
lust has conceived, it
bringeth forth sin. Sin,
when it is finished, brings
forth death.” Every form of
death in your body, in your
brain is– a death taken to
ultimate is like dementia,
Alzheimer’s. You say that,
“Well, Pastor Prince,
doesn’t– Are you saying
that it’s all caused by
sin?” No, it’s caused by
Adam’s sin. And our body is
still–until Jesus come
again, our body is still an
old body. And one day, we’ll
have a body that’s forever
young, forever strong,
forever healthy. It’s called
the glorified body. We’re
looking forward to that, and
that’s what we’ll receive in
the Rapture. But until then,
we need the Holy Spirit to
quicken– What is quicken?
Give life to our bodies. Are
you with me so far? You
understand what I’m saying
so far? So here on Mount
Sinai, some people are still
camping at Mount Sinai. In
Hebrews 12, it says, “You
are not come to Mount Sinai
that burns with fire,
tempers, and smoke,” and the
voice was so frightful, the
writer says, that even
Moses, who was a godly man,
said, “I exceedingly fear
and I was quaking.” That’s
Mount Sinai. No one could
bear the Word that was
given, “Thou shall not, thou
shall not, thou shall not.”
But Mount Zion, it says,
“You are not come to that
mountain.” Say, “You are not
come.” Say, “I have not come
to this mountain.” But the
Bible–in the same passage,
Hebrews 12, it says, “You
are come to Mount Zion, to
the city–” watch this, “To
the city of the Living God.”
Where is God at? Mount Zion.
Notice when it says, “You
are not come to this Mount
Sinai,” God’s name is not
mentioned here. God is no
more staying in Mount Sinai.
He has moved out from Sinai
Lane to Zion Boulevard,
okay, amen? Are you
listening? Are you
listening, people? So we as
pastors must move our pulpit
from Mount Sinai to Mount
Zion. The preaching of Mount
Sinai is, “God wants you to
do this.” It’s claim. The
essence of law is claim or
demand, all right? The
essence of grace is gift,
amen, give. It’s–the
characteristic of grace is
all about give, impartation,
free gifts, supply. Law is
demand, grace is supply.
Here, it doesn’t say, “How
many of you have prayed? How
many of you have fasted? How
many of you have it all
together? Are your families
with you? Are you in good
relationship with your
spouse?” Before the Holy
Spirit comes– No, they’re
all gathered there on the
Day of Pentecost
because–it’s the Day of
Pentecost. Because–the
reason they have the Holy
Spirit is because Jesus has
been glorified. The Bible
says, “Because Jesus has
been glorified.” One time
Jesus said it like this in
the day of– the seventh day
of the Feast of Tabernacles,
He stood up. In John 7 He
says that, “‘He that
believes on Me, out of his
belly shall flow rivers of
living water.’ This spoke He
of the Holy Spirit who was
not yet given because Jesus
was not yet glorified.” We
say the Holy Spirit is not
given because you have sin,
you have sin, you have sin.
No, He comes because of one
reason, just like we are
saved because of one reason.
Christ died for my sins and
rose again when I was
acquitted in Him, amen?
Likewise, I receive the Holy
Spirit because Jesus has
been glorified at the
Father’s right hand. Are you
listening, people? Hmm, are
you with me so far? So what
happened on the Day of
Pentecost over here? When
they received the Holy
Spirit– these two things,
you might think that, “It’s
very simple, Pastor. I see
it.” You’d be surprised you
see it. A lot of people
don’t see it. God has moved
mountains they don’t even
realize. They are camping in
old ground. They are in new
covenant, right? They are,
you know, like David. David
is an old covenant man with
a new covenant mentality.
Many Christians
unfortunately are in the new
covenant, old covenant
mentality. They still have
the wrong kind of fear of
God. God wants you to have
the spirit of sonship and
address God as Father. Yes,
He is El Shaddai. Yes, He is
Elohim. And I study–I teach
you all the names of God
also, amen? I got a great
series on this. But the name
by which Jesus came to
reveal is “Father.” He came
to reveal Father and His
heart to all of us. You are
the family of the Father,
the Father and His family.
Smile at your neighbor and
say, “Yo, bro. Hi, sis,”
amen? So the Bible says God
is now on Mount Zion.
Hebrews 12, “You are come.”
And the word “You are come”
there is perfect tense. You
have come, and there you
remain. You have come to
Mount Zion, the city of the
Living God, the Heavenly
Jerusalem, to place a where
there’s an innumerable
company of angels. There’s
the house of God. When the
house of God was first
mentioned, it was Jacob
lying on a rock as a pillow,
and the next day he anointed
the rock and he says, “This
is the house of God,” and he
saw angels descending and
ascending. And in John 1,
Jesus, when He was
introduced, amen, to
Nathaniel, He told
Nathaniel, “When Philip
called you just now, you
were under the fig tree. I
saw you.” And Philip says,
“My Lord.” He says, “You
believe this because I said
I saw you under the fig
tree? From now on, you will
see angels descending and
ascending on the Son of
Man.” It happens in the
house of God. And that’s why
I want to encourage you,
this is where it happens.
Christianity is not just me,
mine, my family, and I. You
know, it’s not–that is
fine, you know? God wants
you to be whole, holy, amen,
complete in all those areas,
but it’s all about one
another. How many times in
the New Testament it’s about
loving one another, bearing
with one another, speaking
to yourselves, plural, amen?
By the way, the last lesson
we learned, how do you
redeem the time? Watch your
tongue, speaking to yourself
in psalms, hymns. “Redeeming
the time” there is what?
Save all the good moments,
amen. God is not saying,
“Saving that time. You don’t
have to save that time. Let
it go.” But the word there
is–let me show you.
“Redeeming the time,” verse
16, “because the days are
evil.” The word “time” here
is “kairos,” which is what?
An opportunity. That’s why
some translations put it as,
“Buying up every
opportunity,” but I don’t
like the word just “buying
up,” okay, because it
doesn’t give the sound of
redemption. Though the word
“redemption” means to buy,
but the word “redemption”
means more to buy– more
than just to buy. It buys
with a cost, a price paid.
So what is your price to buy
a lot of kairos moments,
good days in your life?
Speak to yourself. It drops
down, all right, it says,
“Speak to yourself–
speaking to one another in
psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs.” Notice
that? Involves one another.
It’s church life. Yes, on
your own as well, sing. Pray
in the Spirit. Pray in
tongues, amen. Sing, sing
the songs we sung just now.
Exalt the name of Him– When
you are driving. Who rides–
I just recommend you don’t
lift your hands, amen? Sing.
You’ll be in a much better
shape when you arrive. When
stress, all right, fills
your mind and you feel like
you are looking forward, but
you don’t–you’re not
looking forward, you know?
You are going forward, but
you’re not looking forward
to the day because there’s
some assignment, and you’re
feeling stress, what do you
do? Sing. When you are
singing, you are being
filled with the Spirit. When
you are singing, God is
filling. I said when you are
singing, God is filling.
When you are speaking, God
is filling. So notice that
in Christian life, a lot
depends on this… because
this is the mark of royalty,
not this…hand. Are you
listening? It is not about
doing, it’s about speaking.
“The righteousness of the
law says the man who doeth
them shall live in them, but
the righteousness of faith
speaketh.” How do you get
saved, the greatest gift of
all? If you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus,
believe in your heart,
you’re saved, amen. A lot of
people find, “Oh, it’s just
too simple.” Yeah, simple
doesn’t mean cheap. It cost
God His Son. It cost Jesus
His life, hmm? But it’s
received in this way: I
believe, and therefore I
speak. But what are we
believing and what are we
speaking? Whoa, chiah lat,
chiah lat. I’ve got to talk
to my international
audience. It means,
“Terrible, terrible,” okay?
You know, just imagine,
imagine, all right, if Jesus
appears right now and touch
every one of you on the
head, and He says, “From now
on, whatever you say will
happen.” Wah! So funny, I
never hear this before. I
want to laugh until I die.
Okay, all right, so imagine,
why is it that we are so
quick to say death? The
Bible says in the book of
wisdom, “Life and death is
in the power of the tongue,”
and those who love it,
whether you love life and
talk about it all the time
or you love death and talk
about death all the time,
you love the dark side,
“those who love it shall eat
the fruit thereof.” Death
and life are in the power of
the tongue. Are you
listening? Hmm, what a
privilege to be a child of
God, amen? You know, Joseph,
he was favored by the father
and the father gave him a
coat of many colors, right?
God wants you to know you
are like Joseph. You are the
father’s favorite. Of
course, not all typology of
characters is perfect. I
mean, Jacob had some
favoritism because Joseph
was the product of his
beloved Rachel, his second
wife. Nonetheless, God is
teaching us a lesson in the
type of Joseph that he had a
coat of many colors. If you
study carefully the word
“coat of many colors,” it’s
not just a coat of many
colors to show the dignity
of his position, that he’s
well-beloved. It’s also a
quote in the Hebrew,
“ketonet,” a word that means
long-sleeved. That means in
those days they wear a lot
of sleeveless shirt, not to
show off their muscles like
Pastor Lawrence sometimes
does when we go out for–you
know? But it’s so it’s
easier. They tie their loose
garments around the waist,
right, with a girdle so they
can work. It’s easier for
them. You got it? But when
someone has a long-sleeved,
many-colored coat, that
means what? He’s exempted
from work, and the brothers
knew it. The brothers knew
it. They were jealous of
him. And I’ll tell you this,
you can be brothers, but
you’re always jealous of the
one who believes strongly
that he receives by grace if
you don’t watch your heart.
Why not join that brother?
Why not join that sister and
receive everything by grace?
Oh, grace, grace, grace. You
all do nothing, wah. How do
you know? How do you know
that recently Pastor
Lawrence and his team didn’t
go to Cambodia? How do you
know where our team is right
now for missions? How do you
know how many souls are
saved or not? What have you
done with the young people
in Singapore and around the
world? You know what you
criticize or not? You wanna
have a long, happy life?
Today, we don’t criticize
like this… we criticize
like this… If you’re
watching via audio, I’m
using my typing fingers. Are
you with me so far? Do you
understand, amen? So God
gave a gift, because the
Bible says, “If anyone can
tame the tongue, he’s a
complete man.” So on the Day
of Pentecost, something
happened. A prayer was
birthed in the church on the
birthday of the church that
never existed in the Old
Testament. I don’t care who
they are, David, a man after
God’s heart, never prayed in
the Spirit, amen. Jeremiah,
Elijah, and all the rest,
Moses even never prayed in
tongues, or in other words,
prayed in the Spirit, okay?
From now on, praying in
tongues will be known as
praying in the Spirit. And
by the way, that’s the
correct definition, because
in 1 Corinthians 14:14, it
says, “I’ll sing with the
Spirit and I’ll sing with
the understanding.” It
cannot be “Spirit” means
umph, more umph, more umph,
then “understanding,” no
umph. No, it means praying
in the Spirit, true to the
entire meaning. If I pray in
an unknown tongue, my spirit
prays. So I’ll sing with the
Spirit and I’ll sing with
the understanding, amen? So
that gift came, when? It was
birthed on the birthday of
the church. And the devil
saw it and the devil–you
know what? He cannot wire
trap it. He cannot
understand it. He cannot
hack it. He doesn’t
understand. I don’t care if
AI, or ChatGPT, or whatever,
they cannot access tongues,
and the mysteries, and the
revelations that come on the
inside, that no computer, no
AI, no intelligence,
artificial intelligence can
ever come close to.
They–you see,
they–I’m not
against these things. I’ll
use these things, amen. I
use them. I use ChatGPT
also, not for revelation. It
never gives me revelation.
You know, I ask them, “The
Power of Right Believing,”
my book, all right, it’s
about principles from the
Bible with many self-help
principles. What’s
self-help? “The Power of
Right Believing,” it says,
“Don’t trust your efforts.
Don’t trust yourself.”
Wrong, ChatGPT. You see,
what they do is that they
take from materials that’s
around, and those materials
that are around was written
by men who are fallible. And
they take those materials,
and sometimes things that
are subject, for example,
like chess, everything
that–there’s 1,000,124
moves. I’m not too sure, I’m
just saying out, but there’s
a lot of moves. When you
move your rook or you move
your queen, there’s a lot of
moves for the other side. If
you are fighting against AI
on chess, you’ll sure lose
because everything has
been– all the moves are
there already. When it comes
to the affairs of the heart
and a human being, it’s not
as simple. It’s not as
simple. You cannot just say,
“Today, Dr. AI is in the
room, okay?” When he calls
for you, you come out.
“Meep, Tan Ah Kow.” Ooh, go
in. “Please be seated.”
Okay, next time, all right,
your doctor is an AI, are
you willing? No, we can use
them for precision in the
area of, like, medicine, and
allotment, and all that for
those medicine makers or
whatever, and other areas,
but not in the area where
your life is at stake, where
your family relationship and
all that. That’s why don’t
trust an AI to pick up a
life partner for you. A lot
of people lie on dating
apps, you know? They will
say, like–they always make
themself slimmer than they
really are online, taller
than they really are online.
So when you have speed
dating, all right, or
Internet dating, right, or
online dating sites, these
people make a lot of money,
you know? And they will tell
you there are 40 people who
like you, and somebody will
tell you–you don’t even pay
for the subscription yet,
all right, you just ask them
more questions. You put up
your portfolio and
straightaway they tell you
40 people like your post.
But in order for you to
access what they said, you
have to subscribe. You have
to pay the subscription fee.
You understand or not,
right? Now, I know in spite
of this, thank God, and it’s
because of the Lord that
some of the people who go
into online dating,
Christian online dating and
all that, they have ended up
as a couple, yes. But I tell
you, it’s in spite of, not
because of. You better know
that. You better know that,
amen. When I exercise, I
tell the Lord, “Lord, bless
my exercise. It’s Your
blessing that maketh rich,
not my efforts.” Lest I
think one day–I’ve been
there before where I start
exercising, and I start
feeling good, and all that,
I say, “Whoa, exercise is
very good,” you know? I fall
sick the next day. It’s like
the Lord telling me, and I
thank God. It’s to wake me
up. So when I exercise, I
tell the Lord while I’m
exercising, and not because
of, “Quicken my body.
Strengthen me.” You will
find that a little becomes
much. You don’t have to
spend one hour at the gym. A
little, ten minutes even,
moving around your body, God
will bless.
My time is
almost up. I haven’t come to
the crux of it yet, so I’ll
tell you this. The devil saw
that gift of praying in the
Spirit. You know what he
did? He started attacking
that gift, just like he
attacked– you know, the
strongest blessings of God
upon man, he will attack.
The way of salvation, so
many people in the world
believe it’s by their
efforts, by their doing,
amen? That’s why Jesus calls
it a narrow way, why? It’s
only by grace through faith
you are saved, not of works,
lest any man should boast.
Do you see that? So the
devil attacks this and gives
them many, many, many ideas
about– you see, He’s
telling you you are not
needed. Your efforts are not
needed. People’s pride rise
up when you tell them that.
I don’t wanna receive a gift
for nothing. Hey, friend,
you better know that.
Whatever you do, ask the
Lord for His blessing.
Depend on Him. You know, I
don’t take for granted even
coming down here. I will
tell you this, every time I
think about preaching and I
say, “Lord, bless my
preaching this coming
Sunday. Bless my preaching.
Bless it, Lord, because it
is Your blessing that makes
rich. It’s not my efforts.
Bless it.” When the Lord’s
blessing is on the loaves
and fish, no matter how few
they are, how small they
are, it will multiply. When
the Lord blesses your
health, it multiplies. The
Lord blesses you. You want
the blessing of God. “But
Pastor, we are blessed with
all blessings in heavenly
places.” Yeah, we are, but
the Bible never stops you
from that relationship where
you keep on asking God for
more blessings. Because when
Abraham–you look at
Abraham, he blessed Isaac,
but then later on, he
already blessed Isaac, but
Isaac was still blessed in
other places. Isaac blessed
Jacob, but later on, God
says, “I will bless you,”
and he asked God for
blessing. You find that
people who are blessed keep
on asking God for blessing
still in other areas of
their life. I have a message
that says, “Why God Keeps on
Blessing and Blessing,”
amen? We need to know,
because when you ask God for
blessing, you are telling
the Lord, “My trust is in
You. Unless You bless, it
doesn’t become more
valuable. It doesn’t become
greater. It doesn’t–you
know, Lord, unless You
bless, it will not work.” So
you pray like, you know, you
are desperate. “Lord, bless
me! Bless my project. Bless
what I’m doing, Lord.” Look
to the Lord. Even when you
exercise, look to the Lord.
“Bless my sleep.” Do you
say, “Bless my sleep” before
you sleep, or you just poom,
pang sun*, you know, all
right? No wonder you cannot
attack at night. So ask the
Lord for blessing. “Bless my
sleep. It’s Your blessing
that makes rich. Bless my
sleep.” “The blessing of the
Lord maketh rich and adds no
sorrow with it.” Hallelujah,
amen? Pray in the Spirit.
Pray in the Spirit. Jesus
said on the Day of Pente–
Tabernacles, excuse me, John
7, real fast before we
close, “In the last day, the
great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried,
saying, If any man thirst,
let him come unto me, and
drink.” It’s a very personal
thing. I cannot drink for
you. Your grandmother cannot
drink for you. You gotta
drink for yourself. “If any
man thirst, let him come to
Me and drink.” Drink, enjoy
yourself. “Come to me, and
drink. He that believes on
me, as the scripture has
said, out of his belly shall
flow rivers of living
water.” A lot of our immune,
what you call that, gasses,
or I don’t know what you
call that, they’re in your
belly. Now, this word
“belly” is literally
“belly.” And I’m not using
the New King James for this,
because the New King James
says, “Out of his heart.”
But it’s not the word
“cardia” in the original.
It’s not cardia. Cardia is
heart. It literally says
“belly.” Also, that area is
your innermost man, but
belly is belly. And the word
“belly” is used by the Jews
also for womb. You got
problems in your womb? Let
the rivers of living water
flow out, amen. And then he
says very clearly this is
living water, “But this he
spoke of the Spirit, which
they that believe on him
should receive: because the
Holy Spirit was not yet
given,” why? “Jesus was not
yet glorified.” He has not
been crucified, rose from
the dead. He has not rise
from the dead yet. He is not
back to the Father where
He’s glorified. But is He
glorified today? So the Holy
Spirit has been given, okay?
I wanna close with this one
last picture for you to see,
something about wisdom.
Wisdom has this, okay? Job
11, verse 6 says this, “Let
me disclose to you the
secrets of wisdom, for true
wisdom has two sides.” True
wisdom has two sides, okay?
I said before, prophecy,
which is God’s wisdom for
the future, it’s the entire
Word of wisdom actually.
Prophecy has two sides.
There’s a near fulfillment
and there is a far
fulfillment. For example,
when they received the Holy
Spirit on the Day of
Pentecost, Peter stood up
and says, “What you are
seeing, this praying in
tongues, and the sound of
mighty wind, and tongues of
fire, and all that, this is
that which the Prophet Joel
says.” But it’s not a
complete fulfillment, why?
The Prophet Joel says in
that day, the moon will turn
to blood, all right? All
Israel will mourn for him,
right? That’s not yet
happened, but a part of it
is fulfilled. That was the
near fulfillment. The far
fulfillment is our day and
age. You got it so far? You
understand, physical one. So
I’m gonna show you this. You
must understand this before
I show you this. I’ll close
with this vision, all right?
Prophet Ezekiel was given a
vision by God of the temple,
and this is what he saw. He
saw, “Along the bank of the
river, on this side and
that, will grow all kinds of
trees used for food; their
leaves will not wither.”
Reminds you of
Joshua–sorry, Psalms 1,
verse 2, all right? “His
delight is in the law of the
Lord. In His law doth he
meditate day and night,”
okay? Real fast, real fast,
Psalms 1:2, show them,
meditate. “In His law he
meditates day and night.”
Just know some Hebrew, the
word “meditate” is “hagah.”
“Hagah” is mutter. It’s
gotta do with your mouth.
This is not other
meditation. This has gotta
do with your mouth. You
mutter it. Memorize the
verse, mutter it. “The Lord
is my Shepherd, I will not
lack. I will not lack. The
Lord is my Shepherd.” Mutter
it, mutter it, and what’s
gonna happen to you? “You’ll
be like a tree planted by
the rivers of water, that
brings forth its fruit in
its season, your leaf will
not wither; whatever you do
shall prosper.” Go back to
that verse 12 in Ezekiel.
“Along the bank of the
river, on this side and that
side,” both sides of the
river, “will grow all kinds
of trees used for food;
their leaves will not
wither.” What does he mean,
“The leaves will not
wither”? “And their fruit
will not fail. They will
bear fruit every month,
because their water–
because their water flows
from the sanctuary. Their
fruit will be for food, and
their leaves for medicine.”
Notice, the leaf will not
wither, and the leaf is your
health. The leaf is for
medicine, or the Hebrew word
there, from the word
“health,” for medicine.
Isn’t it beautiful? Okay,
the secret is the water, the
water, because their water
flows from the temple, from
the sanctuary. Who is the
temple of God today? You and
I. So the more you let that
river flow–and now, this is
a spiritual fulfillment.
There’ll be a literal
fulfillment. By the way, let
me show you real fast, all
right, chapters 47. Like I
said just now, this vision.
Go back to verse 1, “Then he
brought me back to the door
of the temple; there was
water, flowing from under
the threshold of the temple
towards the east,” all
right? And it says, “The
water was flowing from under
the right side of the
temple, south of the altar.”
Drop down. “Then he said to
me: ‘This water flows
towards the eastern
region.'” Jerusalem, eastern
region is the Dead Sea, all
right? “It goes down into
the valley, and enters the
sea,” the Dead Sea. “When it
reaches the sea, its waters
are healed.” Today, there’s
a Dead Sea. “Sea” always
speaks of humanity. Sea
always speaks of mankind as
a whole, amen. The waves
roaring, spewing its foam
because its restless. The
sea is restless. Mankind is
restless, amen. That’s why
Jesus calmed the storm. Only
He can calm the storm. So
the Dead Sea means what?
They are dead. They are
dead, cut off from God. They
are dead, amen. They can
call it mental health
issues, whatever it is. I
got physical problems. I got
this problem, that problem.
Death can even come into
your marriage, you know? I’m
not enjoying my married
life. Whatever it is, it’s
death, the Dead Sea. Jesus
wants to save them. Jesus
came to conquer death. So
this river is a secret. When
it reaches the sea, its
waters are healed. It shall
be that every living thing
that moves, wherever the
rivers go, will live.”
What’s gonna happen if you
pray in the Spirit and you
meet someone dead? Just to
shake hand, they will live
because of the waters that
you issue from the
sanctuary. Now, I’m talking
about the two sides of
wisdom here, because today
you are the temple of God.
But in future–this is a
future fulfillment, by the
way. There will be a Temple
of Ezekiel. There will be a
temple–excuse me, not a
Temple of Ezekiel, but
rather the prophecy of Eze–
the vision of Ezekiel will
happen in the future from
Jerusalem. The waters will
flow up. You know what they
found out recently on Mount
Zion, right, Mount Moriah.
They found out that there
are water currents being
heard underneath. They have
the instruments now to find
that out. So one day, it’ll
be released. Rivers of
living water. And then, “It
shall be that everything
that moves– every living
thing that moves, wherever
the rivers go, will live.
There will be a very great
multitude of fish,”
salvation, “I will make you
fishers of men,” “because
these waters go there; for
they will be healed, and
everything will live
wherever the river goes.”
Wherever you go when you are
praying in the Spirit will
live. Now you understand why
you step into a boutique or
a restaurant, no one is
there. After you are there
for a while, people come in
there. Wendy and I see that
all the time, amen. You are
good for business, you
believers. I think it’s in
Zephaniah or Zechariah, it
says, “So will I save you,
and you shall be a
blessing.” You, all of you,
will be a blessing, amen?
Next verse, “And it shall be
that fishermen will stand by
it from En Gedi to En
Eglaim; they will be places
for spreading their nets.
Their fish will be of the
same kind.” Drop down, all
right, “Its swamps and
marshes will not be healed;
they will be given over to
salt.” So one part of the
Dead Sea is healed. All
kinds of fishes are there.
But another part is not
healed. How can that be when
your Bible– you open your
Bible, not now. You open
your Bible to the last
pages, right, you have the
maps, and the maps give you
the outline of the Dead Sea.
It has this sliver of land
that comes out. It’s one
whole Dead Sea. Let me show
you 1972 satellite from
NASA, all right? You see
it’s one Dead Sea, right?
You can see the sliver of
land. That sliver has been
growing and growing. And
what Ezekiel saw in vision
was that there are now like
two Dead Seas. The north
part, if you draw a straight
line in the east side all
the way up, it goes to
Jerusalem. The waters are
released from there, and
when the waters hit the Dead
Sea, the northern part is
healed, and there’ll be
fishes. But there’s a part
that’s given to salt. It
will not be healed. How
come? If it’s one Dead Sea,
how come one part? You know,
it doesn’t make sense. So
some people laugh. Some
people say, you know, Bible
is like– you know, it’s not
according to geography even.
But no one is laughing now.
This is 1972. Another
satellite photo, it’s
covered. There’s a land
bridge now. We were there
recently. We can stand at
Qumran Caves there and we
can see the entire place
bridge. Many of you have
seen that. Now there’s a
north sea, south sea. We are
being–we are–I believe we
are getting ready for
literal water coming into–
constant, torrential river
coming into the Dead Sea,
healing it, and it’s a
picture. It will happen in
the future. Literally it
will happen, but the
spiritual truth is this.
Everything that will happen
in the future, we can enjoy
the foretaste as the
children of God, for we are
kinda the first fruits of
His creation. We’ll enjoy it
now. I said we’ll enjoy it
now. So imagine, if you pray
in the Spirit all day long,
before you talk to your
child, amen, before you
fetch your child or before
you, you know, go into a
hard conversation, pray in
the Spirit. Pray in the
Spirit. Pray in the Spirit.
When you’re tired, you don’t
feel like praying. The devil
want to jam your mouth. Has
he succeeded? Do you want to
live a long, happy life? How
do you not speak evil? If
you speak good, now there’s
positive instruction. If you
are speaking in tongues,
speaking in the Spirit,
singing psalms, hymns,
spiritual songs, there’s no
room for evil words. You
drive your car and someone
just, like, you know–
always driving car for
Pastor is the problem. All
right, so we drive out,
guys, someone just overtake
us like that, go like,
[speaking in tongues] ‘Cause
your mouth–the devil wants
your mouth to speak bad
things so that you cannot
speak good things, but you
don’t– you don’t know what
to say to the person, right?
You say, [speaking in
tongues], amen. And then you
drive on your way to work,
and then you feel like you
are stress, amen? Thy
lovingkindness. Remember,
don’t look up, okay? Thy
lovingkindness is better
than life. Thy loving– And
people passing by will be
wondering, “He’s listening
to a hot song, okay? A real
good song, whatever. I
wonder what–” And they will
see the joy of the Lord. And
I tell you, stress will just
melt like butter on a hot
day by the time you arrive
to your destination. So this
is the part the devil wants
to jam, and I want to unjam
it, and time is up. God
bless all of you! I only
skimmed the surface.
Remember, because the waters
flow out from the–so in
other words, Ezekiel is
saying when you pray in the
Spirit, amen, you will
produce food for your soul,
for your spirit. We all need
food, revelation knowledge,
food. Not only that, your
leaf will not wither, the
idea of evergreen. Like the
trees planted by the rivers
of water, evergreen, will
not fade. And then we see
the Holy Spirit defining the
leaf also as medicine. The
more you pray in the Spirit,
you’re applying the best
medicine known to man. So,
yes, God can heal you in one
instant. God heals you by
the gift of healing, but
aren’t you glad God is so
rich? It’s called the
manifold grace of God, amen?
You can pray in the Spirit,
“Holy Spirit, I have this
problem. I don’t know why
this pain has been here for
some time, but you know.
Pray for my healing.”
[speaking in tongues] I tell
you this, while you are
doing that, you’re also
being freed from stress.
Maybe God wants to free you
from stress first before He
brings the healing, but you
know something is being done
because you are praying to
the only One who can really
do something about it, amen?
If you are here today, my
friend, and you have never
made Jesus your Savior, your
Lord, you’ve never put your
trust in Him, Jesus says,
“If you are thirsty, come
unto Me and drink. If you
believe on Me, out of your
innermost being will flow
rivers of living water.”
Pray this prayer with me if
you need help to pray.
Follow me in this prayer.
Mean it from your heart.
He’s listening to you. Say,
“Father God, I confess Jesus
Christ is my Lord. I believe
You raised Him from the
dead. I believe You have
glorified Christ at Your
right hand. Therefore,
baptize and fill me with
Your Holy Spirit because
Jesus Christ is my Lord. In
Jesus’s name, amen, amen,
amen.” [speaking in tongues]
Stand to your feet and pray
in tongues for a while.
[speaking in tongues] Amen,
as I bless you, keep on
praying in the Spirit. Get
back. When it’s just
unjammed, you find it a bit
hard. It’s like a trickle.
Then slowly, slowly, after a
few hours it’s a stream, and
then it becomes–all right,
keep that river flowing. And
wherever it goes, life will
come forth. Fruitfulness and
life in place of the curse
and death, amen. This coming
week, the Lord bless you,
all of you, with the
blessings of Abraham. The
Lord bless you with favor
everywhere you go. The Lord
bless you in your marriage.
The Lord bless you in your
parenting. The Lord bless
you in all that you
undertake this week. And may
you see the manifestation of
the blessing of the Lord
upon you and your loved
ones; that it might be said
of you that was said of
Obed-Edom, “The blessing of
the Lord resteth on all that
he has.” Thank You, Father,
in Jesus’s name, and protect
us from sickness and
disease, from danger and
harm throughout this week,
and from all the power of
the evil one, in the name of
Jesus. And all the people
said, “Amen.” God bless you.
You are dismissed.
