I believe that tonight is a very very

significant night we can say that every

time we get together but this one is

unique it’s been in the making for many

many months almost a year at least eight

nine months where we’ve talked about the

need of coming together to pray and to

do some very prophetic things for really

the healing of our land to have the

recent introduction of kovat 19 and then

the racial issues that have come to the

surface so seriously in recent days it

really heightens the need of this moment

so I’m glad that we get to do this

together we’re going to do this tonight

with my dear friend chaeyeon from

Southern California and Edie Ruth so

beau so more great friends I’m just so

glad we get to work together to partner

together before we begin this part of

the evening I want you just to drink

from this song at the beginning of this

pandemic we met at my son Brian at his

home he and Jen and and they just did

acoustic worship set with us there and

we did a program there for a specific TV

channel and and they sang the song

blessing with it which has just spread

all over the world I feel like the Lord

anointed the writing of that song for

this season and so we’re just going to

turn this over to them they’re going to

sing this and then we’re going to get

right into the reason for this Gavin

I believe that that is the heart of God

for every single person watching this

broadcast for the handful of people that

we’ve had joined us in the room tonight

that the blessing of the Lord that’s

been his design from the very beginning

is that the blessing of the Lord would

rest upon people he is the ultimate

father better than you could dream of

and he is always good and he is always

looking for the well-being of his people

but as a nation and as nations of the

world we’re in trouble right now

but Jesus has a solution none of this

has caught him off guard and and I love

this song so much it just brings me to

tears whatever we sing it it’s just such

a prophetic decree of God’s heart over

people the blessing of the Lord rests

upon a united people we see that in the

Psalms where the brethren who dwell

together in the unity that the favor the

blessing of God is there so I’m gonna

take a few minutes to talk to you about

this incredible subject of unity

interestingly Jesus said he said I gave

them my glory that they might be one

gave them my glory the manifested

presence of God causes unity it’s

difficult to be in the atmosphere of the

presence and have anger at anyone

there’s something so disarming about the

glory it’s about the presence of the

Lord it’s about giving him chief place

in our affection chief place in our life

the nation of Israel camped around this

thing called the presence the Ark of the

Covenant in the wilderness they had

tribes to each side and the centerpiece

of their life as a nation was the

presence of God today as the people of

God we gather around sermons we gather

around facilities and programs but I

pray that today comes quickly when we

gather once again around the presence

the manifested presence of Jesus another

interesting thing about unity is you

can’t create it

it’s the natural byproduct of the Holy

Spirit’s influence in Ephesians chapter

4 thinks verse 2 could be verse 3 he

says preserve the unity of the Spirit in

the bond of peace preserve the unity of

the Spirit it’s not something I can

create it’s the byproduct of the Holy

Spirit having absolute influence in a

person’s life Jesus called his disciples

to a place of unity and he said he said

that you would be one even as the father

and I are one the ultimate standard of

perfect harmony and unity is the father

and the son and that is the model that

it’s not just something to strive

towards that is the model we are grafted

into when the Holy Spirit has his way we

just celebrated just days ago Pentecost

Sunday and it was celebrated all over

the world the incredible event that we

see in Acts chapter 2 and all through

the book of Acts really a course of

history was set in this mighty mighty

outpouring of the Spirit if you remember

the hundred and twenty people that were

gathered in the upper room only days

earlier not too many days earlier we’re

arguing as to who was the greatest but

something happened in this outpouring of

the Spirit where it says they were in

one Accord something took place as they

begin to pray through issues they came

to a place of absolute harmony the

Spirit of God came upon them in such

power he demonstrated his heart for

Humanity by visiting and empowering a

hundred and twenty people and their

first day they had 3,000 converts

there’s something about there’s

something significant about the beauty

and the wonder of harmony it would be

seen in an orchestra where all the

instruments are tuned to one note and

then they begin to play and everything

is complementary it’d be horrible if

every instrument played one note and

they all had the same instrument you

actually need diversity in that

Orchestra to illustrate beauty the same

thing is true today

with a different gifts the different

races the different backgrounds all

these things are necessary for true

biblical unity unity is requires

diversity unity requires you have to

have diversity to have something that

illustrates the beauty of the heart and

the nature of God there must be

diversity if there’s not diversity its

uniformity it’s not unity and what God

is building is he’s building this model

this illustration in the earth of his

heart for Humanity where everyone gets

to win everyone gets to succeed every

person gets to excel and to become all

that God intended them to be

I’ve been declaring over our folks for

the last several years this one

statement that anyone who knows who God

made them to be would never want to be

anyone else it’s the true impact of the

Holy Spirit having his way and the heart

and life of a believer so says preserve

so that means my responsibilities to

give place to this one who has a purpose

as a plan as a will as a an impact

through his manifested presence to bring

about the changes in people I’ve seen

people overcome with the Spirit of God I

remember right down here overcome with

the Spirit of God a man a woman headed

for divorce overwhelmed by the presence

they came out in love it’s the most

interesting thing to see I’ve watched it

year after year after year where people

would come in to this glory into this

presence and all of a sudden all the

things that bothered them concerned them

they were afraid of they just began to

dissipate why because everything makes

sense in the presence everything

everything starts to find its place

picture now being with 120 the day of

Pentecost that famous day when he came

there was a

and of a rushing wind there was tons of

fire that rested on every individual

they were so overcome that they they

began to look as though they were

intoxicated so overwhelmed by God and

Peter stands up and he reads this or he

quotes this passage and I want you to

listen to it’s Acts chapter 2 it’s verse

17 it shall come to pass in the last

days what Peter was doing it was he’s

pointing to a prophecy and joel and he

said what’s happening here was talked

about there he says it will come to pass

in the last days I will pour out my

spirit on all flesh your sons your

daughters shall prophesy your young men

shall see visions your old man will

dream dreams on my men servants of my

maid servants I will pour out my spirit

in those days and they shall prophesy

now I want you to look at it again and

listen to what we just read he said I

will pour out my spirit on all flesh all

flesh before this point when Jesus

multiplied the food in John chapter 6

five thousand men not counting women and

children interestingly that one of the

ones who wasn’t counted a child was the

one who brought the seed for the miracle

in the loaves and the fishes culturally

they weren’t counted but they were in

Jesus’s heart in mine and he took the

child’s lunch to feed the men and the

women because everyone’s counted so in

this outpouring of the Spirit something

takes place because now we see a hundred

and twenty men and women because in the

outpouring of the Spirit it’s a level

playing field everybody is brought into

the same place of experiencing the love

the power of God for themselves in a way

that makes them a transformational

person by nature regardless of economic

background regardless of race

regardless of any of the things that

seemed to define us in all of our

culture’s of our nation’s in this moment

it’s different and he says he pours out

his spirit on all flesh every race every

race every tongue and tribe surrounds

the throne giving praise forever the

beauty of heaven is going to be the

unique in the different people groups

that are there all in one song giving

God glory and praise so he says upon I

will pour my spirit on all flesh he says

your sons and daughters will prophesy

there it is the level playing field men

and women they both will have the same

function they will declare what is in

the heart of the God your sons and

daughters will prophesy your young men

will see visions your old men so we’ve

got the racial divide is destroyed in

the work of the cross we have the sexual

barrier is destroyed the gender barrier

through the cross we have the age

barrier old men visions young men dreams

broken through the power of the cross on

men’s servants and made some spare is

destroyed in the outpouring of the Holy

Spirit the whole point is when he comes

all the distinctions that we use for

division dissolve because they mean

nothing to us all that matters just is

that he is here and that he has his way

and that together we get to see Jesus

glorified in the earth and the moment

I’m gonna have Cheon come up and he’s

going to lead us in a extremely

important part of tonight’s gathering

but I want to I want to end my talk time

by just simply saying this when the Holy

Spirit has his way when he truly has his

way there is always a uniting of hearts

the whole issue of self-promotion the

whole issue of contending for attention

all those things seem to dissipate in

the glory because all that really

matters to us is him so I pray che once

you come out of pray I just pray right

now that the Lord would so ignite in us

a celebration a value for a unity beyond

what we’ve ever seen before in our lives

this is the way I’ve tried to approach

this season in every previous season

where I’ve seen challenges right now in

the heart and mind of God he has an

answer in his mind for every single

crisis on the planet doesn’t matter if

it’s a financial crisis in your home or

it’s an international thing or its

pandemic or some Oh environmental crisis

doesn’t matter what it is he has it in

his mind right now and he’s looking for

people like you and me to come before

him I say father what’s your solution

for this champaz does a great church

Southern California we’ve been friends

and partners for a whole bunch of years

just praying for the state of California

to return to its roots and revival J

bless you so much bill and thank you so

much for attending and those who are

watching online we love you and we’re so

grateful that you’re watching this

because you have the heart of Christ I

think all of us know that we are in a

very historic time we have just gone

through the perfect storm never in the

history of infectious disease have we

seen a pandemic that will lock down 200

nations we’ve had the Black Plague we’ve

had other plagues but not something that

is global and we also went through an

economic meltdown 40 million unemployed

people in the United States alone not

including the developing nations that

are already struggling with finances

poverty and I hear that places like in

India and Africa and they’re going

through another whammy because there’s

now locusts being released devouring

vegetation in that part of the world it

sounds like we’re in the end times

but how do you know that Jesus is still

sitting down at the right hand of the

Father he’s not standing he’s not

nervous as they note this cove at 19

what’s going to happen but I have to be

honest with you I was sharing with the

pastor’s that over dinner I got

depressed and I’m a very positive person

but when I saw George Floyd’s video like

all of us it impacted me personally

because I am a minority

I’m not african-american I can’t relate

to everything they’ve gone through

because you’re talking about 400 years

of racial divide in this nation that I

can’t relate to because we were never

slaves as Asians in this country we were

never segregated like the blacks were

through Jim Crow even after the

Emancipation Proclamation after the 13th

amendment declaring them to be free and

yet the spirit and I believe is a

demonic spirit honey no the enemies the

enemy that we don’t wrestle against

flesh and blood but against

principalities against powers against

spiritual forces of wickedness in the

heavenly places and so we see that as a

spiritual battle and Satan comes to

steal kill destroy

so what we saw a few weeks ago with

George Florida I know there was a

demonic spirit behind it but

nevertheless we have given legal right

for him to come through our sins of

racism so I want to talk about that now

I want to just say something kind of

bold here I don’t believe there is

systemic racism in the body of Jesus

Christ I believe that anyone being

Christ he’s a new person has old life

has passed away behold all things are

new but I’m you know we still have our

old mind or old emotions and history in

this culture where there has been

discrimination and one of the things I

was just talking to our pastoral staff

because they’re saying I don’t know if

I’m a racist or not I asked them to just

ask yourself were your parents racist

and one pastor said yeah I grew up in

the south and they used the n-word and

there’s supposed to be a Christian home

so I know

there’s racism still in the church but

it’s more if I could say this is more

almost like it is sin but it is a huge

blind spot if I could say it that way

that we need to eradicate and that’s

what I want to do tonight I want to talk

about racial reconciliation I feel as

pastor bill just shared so beautifully

that in Azusa Street 1906 because of

Lori King for those who don’t know the

gathering was multi-ethnic was led by an

african-american named William Seymour

who was blind in one eye but he could

see more than everyone else he just had

that prophetic vision of what God wanted

and and if there was Chinese there

because they were working on the

railroad

Hispanics there in fact Frank Bart

Ehrman who wrote the book Azusa Street

said that the colored lines were washed

in the blood of Jesus what a beautiful

statement but the glory lifted and all

of a sudden you have all these major

Pentecostal denominations that

segregated from one another the Assembly

of God became predominantly a white

denomination Pentecostal denomination

the Church of God in Christ became an

african-american Pentecostal

denomination and those are the two

largest Pentecostal denominations in the

United States

till this day but I really believe that

God wants to restore what was lost in

Azusa Street he wants us to come

together and it’s going to be beginning

with the church I’m not pointing the

finger at the world because they’re

unbelievers and I remember saying years

ago don’t expect an unbeliever to act

like a believer until they become a

believer of course their sin in their

hearts there is racism systemically in

our society but I refuse to receive that

for the church but we still need to

trans be transformed by the renewal of

our mind and we still need to move

towards racial reconciliation if there

are blind spots in our lives where we

have discriminated but racism by

definition as a prejudicial antagonism

towards another person of race

in all my years of being a Christian I

have not seen that kind of antagonism

I’m not saying it’s not there but I’ve

not experienced it even as as an

asian-american in fact just the opposite

and I want to just thank pastor Bill for

just loving me as an Asian pastor and

befriending me and becoming a mentor

thank you and Edie the same thing you

taught me unity in Argentina when I went

there in 1991 the first harvest

evangelism conference but I was saying

that we are saved and were being saved

and we will be saved God still wants to

go deeper and he wants to sanctify us

and I really believe that he wants to

take us to another level than racial

reconciliation one of the things that I

know that God has given me this

assignment is that in 1982 I was

pastoring in Maryland I wasn’t the

senior pastor

I was an associate pastor of a large

church but on September the 2nd 1982 at

4 o’clock in the morning God gave me

this incredible prophetic dream was more

of a vision than a dream and in this

dream an african-american appeared to me

and I knew in my dream he was six five

300 pounds chisel not an ounce of fat

and he came to me and said the Lord’s

calling you to Los Angeles where there’s

gonna be a great harvest in a moment I

woke up waves of the Holy Spirit hit me

this is before Toronto this is 1982 it

hit me and I knew that revival was

coming and I heard the words the revival

is at hand I heard not the audible voice

by inaudible voice I woke up my wife I

share the dream the presence of God came

upon her we got down on our knees and we

said God 3,000 miles we’ve never been to

LA but God opened the door for us to

come to LA and I was wondering why an

african-american now he may have been

the angel of Los Angeles it was

definitely like a Macedonian call but I

began to ask the Lord I said Lord wide

and then the rights of 1992 Los Angeles

Riots took place now little stove you

know about the Rodney King beatings she

saw the video and the

the the crime and the injustice of that

um he’s just it was just absolutely

appalling but what you may not know

bring a month and a half before there

was a fifteen year old African American

named Latasha Harlan who went into a

convenience store owned by Korean in

South Central LA and as she stole some

food who she was hungry she got into a

fist cuff with the owner and the owner

went behind the counter pulled out a gun

and shot her right there in that

convenience store

the woman was charged with first-degree

enough first agree but with manslaughter

and she was sentenced and had probation

etc but pretty much she got off free and

then a month and a half later the riots

broke out and the anger of just the

injustice that the African American

community has been experiencing really

when I talk about 400 years we’re

talking about 400 years when exactly

1620 is when the Mayflower landed and

the shores of America and so you’re

talking about struggling with this and

so when people say black lives matter I

want to say I agree black lives matter

but I agree in a different way

I’m not talking about the movement I

agree with I’m not talking about the

violence or looting that may come forth

from some of the people or part of that

movement I’m not talking about defending

or defunding the police I think that’s

crazy

but black lives matter because of all

the races they’re the ones who have

experienced discrimination in this

country Hispanics Asians definitely

Native Americans but they have been the

ones who have experienced slavery

they’ve been the ones even though they

were free to vote were suppressed by the

Jim Crow laws in the south they’re the

ones who had to fight for just being

able to drink from the same water

fountain or to sit in the bus and not

have to move to back if a white person

walked in and so we’re seeing years of

cultural systemic discrimination that

has to be dismantled but I want to

submit to you I believe it begins with a

church

this first Peter 4:17 judgment begins in

the house of the Lord and I believe that

we have the solution I believe that the

world is so crazy looking for the answer

and it’s not in social programs is not

throwing more trillions of dollars into

programs it is a spiritual battle and

the church who’s supposed to be the head

and not the tail but we get it right

when we walk in genuine love that Jesus

has given to us we love because He first

loved us and we walk in love and

friendship and we walk in total respect

of each other as brothers and sisters in

Christ I mean we should respect all life

but I understand when they say black

lives matter so I feel what happened

with me is that when this broke out the

rights for those who don’t know almost a

billion dollars worth of damage was done

in LA but 600 million of it was in

Koreatown because of Latasha Harlan

they’ve targeted Koreatown and Koreatown

was burned to the ground and when I saw

that as a Korean even though I’m pastor

not a Korean Church but American Church

predominately white church I’m an

anomaly in LA but anyway that’s just

what it is and and as I saw this I knew

that the Lord wanted me to be a

peacemaker it’s interesting Matthew 5

verse 9 said blessed are the peacemakers

for they shall be called the children of

God what is the manifestation of being a

child of God is by being a peacemaker

Ephesians 4:3 I think pastor bill quoted

this we have to strive to maintain unity

in the bonds of peace is not something

we can just be casual about or just

flippant about we have to strive we have

to be intentional we have to work so I

ask the Lord what do you want me to do

and I heard the Lord say bring

reconciliation between the

african-american pastors and the Korean

pastors them I had a position of

authority because I was on the board of

love LA at that time love LA was founded

by Pastor Jack Hayford and Lord Ogilvy

was the co-founder he ended up becoming

our Senate chaplain and then there two

others were Bishop Blake who became the

Church of God in Christ presiding

and can Almer who had just bought the

Great Western forum the largest

african-american church in Los Angeles

and so was those four and me I was a

token Asian I didn’t even have a church

at that time I was unemployed so it’s

true but they asked me to be involved

because I headed March for Jesus in our

city and I was so changed by Argentina

that I had the revelation of the unity

that I started to work with pastors in

our city for the first time so I went to

Jack Hayford I said Jack would if we

hosted a lunch just a private lunch no

press and just brought these pastors

together and we coached them to ask each

other for forgiveness and do some

identification repentance and he said

that’s a great idea let’s do it

so with his support we got Bishop Blake

and ten of the largest african-american

churches and then we got dr. Hyman Park

of the largest Korean church in LA at

that time young rock Presbyterian Church

ironically is a church that my

grandparents founded in Korea but now

this is a church plant in Los Angeles of

that church from Seoul and so we

gathered the Korean pastors together and

I remember when Bishop Blake got up

after lunch and he turned to the Korean

pastors and he said would you forgive us

for the carnage we did in Koreatown and

just seeing the Korean pastors began to

weep and sob and the pain that they

experienced with family members losing

everything overnight many of them lost

their lives and so that was a tremendous

healing moment but then dr. Hyman Park

said this he got up and he didn’t mince

words he said would you forgive us for

our racism

he said we buy or the convenience stores

the liquor stores the dry cleaning

business in South Central but we don’t

hire any blacks we just keep it within

our family which is higher our Korean

people and that’s racism would you

forgive us because we have taken money

out of the community but we haven’t

given back to you and we’re going to

change we’re gonna start hiring people

of color there was something that’s

shifted in the spirit room I can’t

describe it with

words and then on top of that here’s

what the Korean pastor said they started

to pay for the african-american pastors

to come to Korea all expense-paid

speaking of some of the largest Korean

churches giving them a nice honorarium

bring them up at 5-star Hotel really

honoring them

how do you know repentance has to look

like something does not just say will

you forgive me but we need to come to

the opposite spirit and bless and honor

and love and so I decided I’m gonna do

the same thing I I called my friend

Roosevelt Marx who was a black pastor of

a church of god in christ church right

in south central and we prayed together

through love LA so I said Roosevelt what

what can I do for your church and he

said you know Thanksgiving is coming up

and I always had a dream to give free

turkey to my community just a bless him

and I said Bruce well that’s a done deal

we bought ten thousand dollars worth of

frozen turkeys brought it down to South

Central and I kid you not I mean I

should have brought gloves I didn’t know

but it was freezing cold as we’re going

from house to house knocking on doors

with these frozen turkeys and then we

said this and we’re gonna have an

outreach on Friday night we’re giving

away free bikes at a bike store and

Pasadena had donated and we’re gonna

give it away

and as people received love coming from

our community to their community they

showed up and the place was packed

Roosevelt preached we gave an altar call

90% other people gave their hearts to

Jesus Christ

I mean 90% of those in the building and

so we were able to do something tangible

and so I want to just really encourage

to be a blessing one of the things that

I really feel we need to be it’s just

like pastor Bill oh and revival lines we

go on vacation together we spend time

together I think we need to befriend

people of other color other race in the

body of Christ because by this will all

men know that you’re my disciples if you

have love one for another but is

practical and I could honestly say you

know I’m gonna introduce in a moment one

of our pastors in our network from

Philadelphia pastor Terry Davis

we have a tremendous love relationship a

love Terry I love his wife Pamela and I

am so grateful that God is bringing

african-american pastors into our

network but I also have want to

introduce Marlene pastor Marlene Barrett

with her husband Gavin and Marlene’s go

share in a moment but see my philosophy

if you’re a pastor you’re gonna be my

best friends because I believe that

because of limited time that you have as

a senior pastor you can’t be friends

with everyone but you should be friends

with your pastors but I’ve made a choice

to have a multi-ethnic pastoral team

because I want to demonstrate what love

looks like and here’s my point

I really believe as we walk in this kind

of unity that pastor bill talked about

because on one hand we need the grace to

walk in unity we need his glory but also

when we walk in unity that’s when

revival comes Jonathan Edwards gave an

incredible message about pray Abreu vive

oh of course you see Great Awakening

revivalists in the United States and he

wrote a book not a became a book but he

gave a message on explicit agreement

visible Union and extraordinary prayer

and so we see in the Upper Room

extraordinary prayer because from the

time that Jesus ascended they didn’t

know when the Holy Spirit was going to

fall they stayed in the Upper Room for

10 days praying day and night and then

we see in acts 1 verse 14 they’re in one

Accord that word is so important that

word we call unity it’s a Greek word

homazooma Don which really means unity

and oneness that brings God’s blessing

of Psalm 133 and so as they gathered

together and by the word

way that word homazooma dawn appears

five times in the first five chapters of

Acts it’s such a major point that God’s

trying to get across to us you know

what’s interesting because I just

finished reading the book on Paul the

Apostle by NT right and I was just so

blown away by this book and he made his

statement he said you know a lot of

people say what is Paul’s primary mess

a lot of people say well justification

by grace through faith and that’s true

in Romans and Galatians but NT Wright

said in every one of his letters he

emphasizes love and unity reconciliation

even the smallest letter to Philemon is

about bringing racial reconciliation if

you will between Onesimus and Philemon

this is what’s on God’s heart and I

believe that we’re on the verge of the

greatest revival on one hand I’ve been

discouraged but I also know from revival

history as always the darkness before

the light of revival breaks out

throughout history and that’s why Isaiah

60 verse 1 arise shine for your light

has come the glory of the Lord is risen

upon you

darkness covers the earth and people

people I just saw my time on way over

time um I’m gonna wrap it up here and so

but we see revival coming in a time of

darkness so I’m gonna have pastor Terry

great a try and pastors an apostolic

center of Philadelphia a graduate of

Wagner University like I say that with

the masters and Terry thank you so much

for flying all the way out here to being

with us thank you sir I am so grateful

for the environment here at Bethel and

I’m grateful for these men who have made

a decision that they want to walk

through transformation in such a

difficult time it’s a challenging it’s a

challenging time and so I honor you it’s

vaso and cheon and Bill Johnson you know

Jay on mentioned George fluid and these

are things that you must talk about I’m

at our burry

Brianna Taylor when you begin to look at

what’s going on with racial

reconciliation as a goal you’ve got to

talk about the difficult things I

remember when I woke up and on Wednesday

morning after I heard about what

happened with George Floyd because first

you just see the report headline when I

was sitting on the couch with my wife

and we see actual video what’s most

challenging with that for African

American is that he looks like me he

looks like my father my uncle my brother

my wife and I have three sons and he

looks like my sons

and so as you’ve heard 400 years and as

you’ve heard one thing after another

after another after another

so disappointment is high I don’t want

to color this with no hope proverbs 13

and 12 says Hope deferred makes the

heart sick but a dream fulfilled is a

tree of life so as I speak to the church

because with all that’s going on with

this issue of racism we must

realize that the church has to arise

it’s the church if heavens perspective

in Heaven’s power mr. bill talked about

unity

if heavens unity Jesus prayed that he

says father make them one just like you

and I or one if that’s gonna happen then

this healing and this reconciliation

must come through the church but how do

you how do you heal and have hope at the

same time how do you deal with the pain

and have hope at the same time and

that’s challenging but we must go

through it if love is really going to be

a picture it must be the picture that

says I love you but I want to bring my

actions behind to show it what is love

love is that god-given ability to view

another as valuable and precious and so

I want you to see that right now there

must be healing when it comes to

different races and the African American

right now needs healing needs healing

that takes time I I have some friends

right now in Philadelphia auction

actually all over but in Philadelphia

have some friends I’ve got white friends

I won’t mix it up here I’ll be very

specific I have white friends and when

this thing happened they called me Terry

my heart is so broken for you man I’m

sorry for what happened the thing with

that

is that we’ve been able to walk through

it together they repent to me can I get

to release them but it’s because it’s

authentic its authentic and if pain is

going to be dealt with you’ve got to

take the time to build that kind of

closeness that says not just I love you

but for some of it I’m sorry I wasn’t

aware I’m sorry I ignored certain things

and I’m not trying to bring this shame

in this guilt because for the body of

Christ there should be that zero guilt

in this we’re trying to get healed and

so it’s not about whites repenting to

blood and black smell saying all right

it’s about time no we’re trying to bring

heavens opinion but still there needs to

be time why was I able to walk through a

time of healing with what with my white

brothers and sisters because we had done

the dirty work of spending time with

each other before crises came up and so

we have to do that

because when you do that and when you

say I love you and when it’s true

affection when it’s true care when I

really do value you then when I see

something like a white man kneeling on a

black man’s neck until his life is gone

then the authenticity of true care will

show up I can’t just sit back and say

I’m praying for you or god bless you

bringing you pain that takes time and so

may I ask the church to arise now don’t

get your eyes off of hope hope is

important but please take the time to

listen to stories stories stories of the

arrest stories of the imbalance with

incarceration stories thank God that the

camera was on you know how many cameras

aren’t on how many cameras don’t show

what happens all the time in cities so

when we hear this and when we see this

keep hope there but be willing for

justice to show up how close with this

Jesus was Jesus was sitting and teaching

and healing and after a while that

service was over and so the disciples

came to Jesus it’s as though they said

we’ll look church is over let’s let

everybody go back to their their towns

fine find something to eat

Jesus said we can’t do that this is in

Luke the ninth chapter you get all of

these people he was saying in essence

justice must be done and they say well

how are we gonna do this here’s this big

task this big issue how are we gonna fix

it Jesus said I want you to go and find

out what’s going on out there

they came back they said well we found

some loaves we found some fish

Jesus says okay I want you to know that

no matter how big the task if you are

willing

feel what God feels for people the Bible

says that the eyes of the Lord are upon

the righteous and his ears are open to

their cry

if we can be open to the cries for

justice and hear it the way the Father

hears it what was Jesus hearing honey

how we’re gonna feed our kids we’ve been

out here all day what was Jesus hearing

mom my stomach is hurting I’m so hungry

the disciples said listen them home

Jesus says no let’s feed them let’s do

the right thing and so they gave him the

fish they gave him the loaves and what

did he do he involved heaven in on it

when you involve heaven the supernatural

can take place that’s why the church

must arise the power of the Spirit of

God will use the church practically and

spiritually to cut the head off of

racism it’s a beautiful thing when

everybody gets taken care of and there’s

more left over that’s what you find in

that in that passage you come or not I’m

going to introduce her in a minute I’m

gonna give her the microphone in a

minute but I will tell you one of the

things that is beautiful about the

church the ecclesia is that we have the

ability to bring heaven and only need

two or three the disciples went to the

town they said Jesus is coming they

didn’t receive him they came back to

Jesus said Jesus they’re not receiving

you

why don’t we rain down fire jesus said

don’t do it that way two or three two or

three I want you to go and I want you to

release peace I want you to bless them

find out what their needs are meet their

needs and then let them know the kingdom

of heaven has come when you spend time

with the

two or three your brother’s your sister

in your home and your family please let

your words bless don’t allow your words

and the conversations that come up to to

be divided by political views if you

start with politics it’ll mess the whole

conversation up let it be the value that

you have for lives let it be the value

that you have for people if we invite

heaven in the supernatural can come

we’re talking about you have to know

that as a member of the ekklesia the

last thing I ever thought we were going

to talk about is race it’s the kind of

thing that because we are washed in the

blood we think it’s all figured out

but here I am at Bethel all the at

Bethel can this happen you got to know

that at Bethel is the perfect place to

talk about this because technically I

think Barry White is and Bill Johnson

have a similar voice but anyways I’m not

gonna go there

so my name is Marlene Barrett I am a

pastor for harvest rock and my husband

and I have the downtown campus and I

want to start by thanking everyone who

invited us here because I haven’t been

here I haven’t been to Bethel since 2015

but I used to live here and I would sit

somewhere in the back over there but

lived here and I’ve received my healing

here my husband and I have done every

single school you can think about and

we’ve done them double time if needed

and I think that the third time it’s

just because you

you get addicted to the cleansing so I’m

a full-time pastor but I’m also a

full-time actor what does that mean I

don’t know but I do it I do it you can

see me on regular basis on NBC on a show

called Chicago med I say that because

it’s impossible for me to work in the

marketplace and not go out there

completely reconciled with Who I am as a

black woman impossible

I must precede this by saying that I am

interracially married that means as a

black woman I’ve never stopped the

conversation even at home you can pray

for my husband but I am healed I’m just

still so shocked that what we’re doing

right now you have to know that the idea

of speaking about this is offending the

devil in such a dramatic way I mean I

grew up thinking my nickname was black

and decker that’s serious stuff because

all the kids used to call me that

and until I got saved I couldn’t tell

you how I was going to deal with that

the rest of my life but the house of God

has a solution and it’s called the blood

and the blood teaches you how to behave

like a firstborn but you need tools you

need tools

I hear Papa che over here and you know

when I was praying about having an

apostle never did I think that the black

man would come in a Korean body

I never thought it could happen but

their Papa chase shut up I said no he’s

black I’m telling you he’s black then he

gave us the prophecy about the

six-foot-five black man and everybody

knows God talks to you in what you can

understand there you go six would fight

black man that’s Papa che in California

ready to counsel my husband and I you’re

about to meet Ed savolta and I’m telling

you that is rhythm in the kingdom

somebody that binds it all together and

makes sense I want to talk about the

compassion that I’ve received from these

three houses in order for me to heal as

a black woman because the minority needs

tools you need tools to heal the pain is

real but the compassionate ear must be

ready to receive the pain to help

transform it into a firstborn the Holy

Ghost can’t do it alone we need people I

want to call out some things that God

has healed in my heart but I know our

present right now as you’re watching us

when I saw George Floyd I’m gonna ask my

husband to bring me the pillow when I

saw George Floyd I’m gonna kneel now and

the reason I’m going to do this is

because I first will have to repent for

something and I want to repent to the

Bethel house to pastor Bill and to Benny

because when I got here the question I

had in my heart was what am I gonna do

in that place Bethel and God told me

that’s where I need you to go and the

first thing I thought in my heart this

is the husband he said I was in line

the first thing I thought in my heart is

surely these Caucasian people have not

figured it out what pain do they have

over there in Northern California

and I came here and I said no pain here

and I want to say that I’ve been racist

against pastor bill and I want to ask

forgiveness for that

because when pain is not healed you want

to deflect it somewhere but when I came

here he gave a sound through all the

ministries that were here the healing

school the prophetic school the show’s

OHS the countless shows that they give

you at $75 make no sense because I’ve

burned that money many times and I know

God wants to heal the heart that is

broken but I must receive your

forgiveness do this

thank you if you are like me and felt

unheard in society this is for you if

you felt that you could go down the

street and something can happen to you

business for you if you felt singled out

when you went into a store this is for

you if you felt if you felt that the

blessing of the Lord was gonna miss you

this is for you if you felt any shape or

form that you don’t belong in society

that the educational system wasn’t for

you that the school in your neighborhood

wasn’t qualified to get you anywhere if

you’ve had racism against your skin if

you have wish to be white if you have

had surgeries to be white if you have

straighten your hair to belong if you

have done anything against your family

because you’re angry because you were

born black if you’re angry because you

were born as a second-class citizen all

these lies I can go on and on because

I’ve lived them all if you’ve tried to

bleach your skin to be more light if you

are in prison for a crime you’ve

committed but we’re arrested and got a

greater sentence because you were black

if you know somebody who’s been wrongly

a prison because of the color of their

skin – all my brothers and sisters in

prison right now

if you’ve been pulled over because of

discrimination this is for you

god I thank you right now for everything

that you’re doing on this line god I

pray against the racism that the black

community has had against itself but God

I first want to release us God from

projecting it on other people taking

responsibility for the races and we’ve

had against ourselves that’s you put

your hand on your heart and say with me

God forgive me for being racist against

myself Holy Spirit come into my heart

and release me from the pain of the

racism I’ve had against myself and God I

thank you right now that you forgive me

for the racism I’ve applied on other

people

I think you’re right now God as we go

through this service tonight you have

uprooting this tree this lie of a racism

that we put that spirit on alert that by

the end of this service where God you

will have uprooted this this lie over

the American society that is watching

right now thank you Jesus thank you

Jesus right now racism and all

associated demons in the name of Jesus

Christ you are uprooted right now you’re

up rooted you have no place in our homes

you have no place in their mind

you have no place

any soul right now whether it’s

Caucasian or black but I specifically

speak to the black community

racism is done in the name of Jesus

Christ now we’re gonna keep on praying

and I’m just asking you at home right

now to keep this word alive inside of

you keep this word of life and you’re

gonna keep on hearing right now things

that the Lord is gonna reveal to you and

I just want to encourage you at the end

of this we’re gonna give you tools

places to go where you can receive your

healing but right now uproot it start

uprooting it start uprooting the lie

don’t use this time to just listen to

bill listen to it uproot this line and

let’s get rid of it let’s get rid of it

let’s get active at home and stay

connected to what you’re hearing this is

the time this is the moment this is a

black church right now oh I’m inviting

right now

the Honorable Ed Tsavo so folks I’m

gonna take off my shoes because this is

indeed holy ground

all of the sudden Bethel becomes a

show you that this already going on in

America that what we are talking about

unity produces is already going on in

America and the first clip is from New

Orleans New Orleans is one of the few

major cities where dozen where Hasson

have a riot on looting because an

african-american and a Caucasian pastel

they got together and they did this in

the public arena I’m going to show you

this video clip and then the in sensory

we assume will address you for about

three or four minutes let’s go to the

video

protests surrounding police brutality

and the death of George Floyd in

Minneapolis continued a number of

Louisiana’s gathered to kneel in prayer

in the heart of the French Quarter

Cathedral to talk to God each in their

own way the seed is combination of all

these multi-culture different

denominations just come together on the

ban on love and brotherhood also today

also I would remember this for the rest

of my life new orleans pastor George

pastor D necessary organized the event

on the heels of George Floyd’s death and

the rioting that followed invite the

Holy Spirit to come into our city and to

happening around our nation

it’s especially symbolic the same day

Christians believe the Holy Spirit

visited Jesus’s Apostles their chosen

place of prayer also significant

recognized as the heart of the city

Jackson Square was also once the site of

division and pain after one of the slave

rebellions that was there was

persecution that was executional that

happened here this is just a

representation of the race to divide in

our city since Airi believes scars from

these wounds still exist and only God

can heal them that’s why we here for

repentance and forgiveness to come

together in unity and one Accord

those who came to pray say they were

moved to action we’re out here for a

reason and it’s not it’s not pleasant

Risa and Chris Williams say they would

it be part of the solution to social

injustice and this was the first step

it’s not too dark for us to do something

it looks dark but we could be a light

wherever we go it starts with driving 20

minutes to come down here

and lock arms with our brothers and

sisters and all and just say if we want

change it starts right here these

believers tell us there’s more to come

the unity love and fellowship you see

here is only the beginning

let’s keep God Albany because we go to

employment and keep on foot and we go in

and I don’t believe in the colors the

color is people the mind the heart in

the organizers say they’re hopeful their

prayer meeting has a positive influence

on other communities looking to take

action that it may inspire a peaceful

alternative to violent protests very

concerned let me emphasize that with

your clip was produced by a secular

television station the words they are

preaching the gospel because like pastor

chase said when the children of God

manifest themselves as peacemakers the

world welcomes us so dean Sunseri from

it was such an extraordinary event when

we prayed at the beginning of 2020 we

were asking for word from the Lord for

for the year for New Orleans and we

heard clearly that this will be the year

of racial reconciliation so we prayed

into that word and right after the

tragedy of George Floyd I got a phone

call from a friend of mine

african-american pastor from New Orleans

George Green and he said brother Dean he

said we need to do something for our

city and I said yes we do let’s pray

let’s get direction let’s get a step so

we began to pray and I saw clearly what

we needed to do I saw us getting a

multicultural group together African

American Caucasian Hispanic and to go

into the heart of our city we know

whatever happens in the heart of our

city will circulate through the rest of

the body I said we need to go to the

heart of the city and invite on

Pentecost the Holy Spirit into the heart

our city and so we had a kneel down we

saw that we needed to kneel down for 30

minutes at 3 p.m. on Pentecost in that

public place we all hid our knees we

started crying out to God we started

asking for his spirit to remove not only

our personal sin but the corporate sin

of our city and of the racial divide and

and the Lord did that and after 30

minutes we were praying George lettis an

amazing grace and it was this chorus of

praise that it just went up from the

heart of our city and then and then

after that my wife gave me the look now

if you married Edith the look is the

look said look I’m going to give you a

suggestion and you will obey it because

I’m hearing from the Lord

and I’ve learned the hard way to obey

the look and she said we need to do a

public repentance right now and so we

got on our knees and we invited all

those who are of Caucasian or European

origin to get on their knees before our

african-american brothers and sisters

and we repented not only for our

individual sin but the corporate sin

that has infected our city and racial

divide over generations and and we ask

God for forgiveness and we asked our

brothers and sisters forgiveness and

brother George lifted us up with a

Jacques brother Jacques Williams lifted

us up and they released forgiveness and

then they turn around and repented for

the sins of the african-americans that

they represent and it was such a spirit

of unity that came that’s been talked

about it’s even hard to describe and I

really believe that that which happened

in very heart of our city is wood has

been circulating through the rest of the

body and that’s why we’ve had peaceful

demonstrations throughout our city

because we should be a hot spot but

we’re not because the Lord is here and

he honored the cry of our people the

biggest man one of the bigger miracles –

as we had for local news stations

present all the four local affiliates

were there with camera and reporters and

they stayed the entire hour and a half

two of them had live feeds going to

throughout New Orleans during this whole

event and each station did a story at

five six in ten spreading the good news

of the gospel through all these

sexualisation it was just extraordinary

I’m so thankful that that you had us on

god bless you thank you thank you ed

let’s give the Lord a big hand and now

last you the video from Alabama

you see Alabama is considered the buckle

in the Bible Belt but we must face the

music that tragically the Bible Belt

matches the KKK Belt and today God has

raised people to really not only repent

for that but to make restitution and I

have the privilege you know to work with

Pastor chair pastor bill and so many

people that we believe these and we

demonstrate these and we will lay down

our lives for this but I want you to

prepare yourself because there is a

letter that this pastor will read to

george Florida that will blow you away

going on right now in Alabama

hello I’m Kent Maddox I lead world live

international outreach here in Alabama

first of all I want to say I’m a huge

fan of Ed Silvo so Bill Johnson and che

Han thank you so much for leading us

into a kingdom mindset through the body

of Christ you men have been such a

blessing to my life in 2018

January 3rd actually I had a dream where

I was introduced to Ed Silvo so

supernaturally by the Spirit of God then

I formed a relationship with him and he

has educated us and imparted us the

concept of ekklesia and the power of

transformation after experiencing this

we went into our city where we’ve had

racial unrest in 1961 actually the

Freedom Riders rode their bus into

Anniston Alabama and the KKK and

citizens here slashed the tires burnt

the bus and almost killed the people

since then we’ve had lots of issues lots

of problems but after receiving the

message of equity and transformation we

launched in and did a freedom march

where we reenacted this we rode buses

eight hundred of us we had whites and

blacks and Republicans and Democrats in

different denominations as we declared

unity in the spirit we had our community

leaders pray and released declarations

over our city and it shifted something

and healing has begun we were so

inspired next we went to the state of

Alabama so in 2020 we launched into all

in Alabama choosing to visit all 67

counties with the message of ekklesia

transformation and racial reconciliation

in the midst of this I was in Montgomery

Alabama Bryan Stevenson who founded the

equality for justice Center in the

Center for justice

there in Montgomery Alabama it’s a

powerful movement in our state I walked

into the museum and on the wall I saw 64

jars of dirt that represents 64 counties

in Alabama where lynchings have occurred

in our past were literally black men

women and children were lynched on trees

and I knew God was calling us to the

state of Alabama so part of our mission

has not only been to pray and release

the message of ekklesia but we’ve been

gathering soil from every County and

praying over the soil and and crying out

to God for redemption and we’re seeing

racial reconciliation in the state of

Alabama we’re having my say

white pastors in black pastors black

leaders and white leaders our first

Native American people were coming

together in prayer meetings in all 67

counties praying over our soil believing

second Chronicles 7:14

as a reality if my people who are called

by my name will humble themselves and

pray and turn from their wicked ways I

will here their land it’s been exciting

we’ve already visited 45 counties and

we’re about to finish up in the next two

months it’s been supernatural in the

midst of this we met two incredible

gentlemen we’ll Ford and Matt Lockett

they’ve been traveling across America

for a decade now with a prayer kettle

that was 200 years in wheels family

we’re his forefathers slaves in our

country would wash their clothes in this

black iron kettle and then at night they

would turn it over and in fear of their

masters beating them they would lay on

the ground and they would pray under

this prayer kettle and release prayers

inspired by the Holy Spirit not that

they would be free of be free but at

least their children would be free and

supernatural God connected this white

men in this black man with an anointing

to release racial reconciliation they

came to Alabama and release that spirit

to us I believe that kettle represents a

tipping point here’s where we’re at in

America we’re at a tipping point the

last three weeks in our culture I

believe God is bringing these prayers

bringing these declarations bringing

these prophetic acts that not only us

but people across America have been

doing and now God is ready to heal our

land obviously there’s been a lot on

social media but recently I was so

inspired by this post dear George I

accept today actually why I’m taping

this for you George Florida is actually

being buried in Houston Texas here’s

what it says dear George perhaps without

realizing it and certainly without

choosing it you are this generations

Sampson the last chapter of your life

was lived with one hand on the pillar of

poverty and the other on the pillar of

injustice the Sampson of biblical Fame

positioned himself between the two

central pillars of a pagan temple and

accomplished more

his death and he did while living

perhaps you will as well your death has

destroyed our excuses your final breath

was an invitation I accept I believe

like never before it’s time for the

ekklesia to arise accept the invitation

of transformation and allow God through

us to bring reconciliation and heal our

land Wow folks and now we go to

California

Vallejo the City of God for two

african-american leaders one from the

pulpit the other from the marketplace

they are taking the kingdom of God where

the gates of Hades are and they are

unlocking them do you realize that when

Jesus took away the keys of Hades and

death and turned them into the keys of

the kingdom

she left the devil with gates that he

can no longer open nor close is up to us

so let’s watch this documentary here in

our own California and then we will here

we assume from Michael Brown and Tony

summers let’s go for it

we have been empowered with favor to

serve and so we have a connection with

our community in education business or

even government all of those different

agencies have come to us one time or

another we’ve partnered with department

of probation to minister to our re-entry

population currently in California the

recidivism rate people going back to

state prison is like in seventy five

percent using mts training academy it

was a really good decision for us

because they had wrapped their arms

around the clients to help them be

successful they have taken young people

that I personally know that have had

nothing but difficulties in their life

and have given them the opportunity to

to work in the industry the

transportation industry and are now

making good wages have benefits our

homeowners and are supporting their

family what more exciting thing can you

have than that with what Michael and

Anthony do if they break the cycle for

one family for one person they saved the

taxpayers $100,000 when I look at MTS

trainee Academy 100% placement for jobs

there’s no less than amazing I can

honestly say these gentlemen have

impacted a community probably more than

any other program in existence right now

in our County and you know we do live in

a society in our county that’s

disproportionately and we do have

offenders that look like me that I want

to make sure that they have the

opportunity to sit in my seat one day

and in order to do that I want to be

with people and partner with people who

share my passion and Michael’s

transportation actually does that

success upon success upon success and to

see that I have seen it

they have done that it’s amazing

Michaels transportation has been a

godsend to our community Michaels

transportation is a marketplace ministry

where Kingdom business happens every day

and folks the praise came from secular

authorities

we know that transformation is happening

when the secular world testifies to that

and that folks we’re gonna be hearing a

moment about you planted and ecclesia

with pastor bill pastor Jay another we

are believing for 1 million iglesias to

be planted but now we go to Michael

Brown and Tony summers we assume from

Vallejo the City of God go on folks well

the Lord Jesus bless you their air and

everybody let me first recognize you sir

and pastor Bill Johnson and so many

other amazing persons that are part of

this faith call we’re just glad to be a

part of the conversation and I just want

to say that isaiah 58:12 in the bee

clause it says that we are the repairers

of the breach and the restorers of the

streets in which we live well well isn’t

with that in mind I just want to take a

different look at a different crowd of

people who’ve been part of these

protests and that is the looters in

particular because so many of the media

outlets they have focused on people

breaking in stores and walking through

dangerous shattered glass to get a I

phone or a laptop computer or a TV well

why in the world would anybody do that

and not to mention some people are going

into grocery stores just to get food and

listen America is the richest nation on

the planet and to the why are people yes

why

we’re doing this right however I just

want to say many how is it that in

America people are hungry today while

others are flashing phones and

intelligent me working on their laptops

why would somebody feel that they have

to probably get theirs to walk through

shattered glass at the risk of cuts and

injuries and even at the risk of going

to jail for a trinket or for some food

something is wrong with that picture now

admits the protest there are couple of

things that are going on here

one let us not forget that the corona

virus as Pastor John mentioned a little

earlier it put 40 million people out of

work so what that admit is that a whole

lot of black and brown people who are

already at the bottom of the

unemployment rung in various service

industries have been devastated and not

having food on their tables is

unimaginable and secondly brothers and

sisters in these protest gatherings

according to Kimberly Carter a former

employee of operation push she says that

there are three groups in the protest

the righteous protesters who walk as

march against the killing of George

Floyd but they’re professional rioters

who take time and go all over the

country just to be disruptive and

disruptive they are and many times to

take the focus off the real reason why

people are protesting and lawfully and

thirdly there are the looters who again

and have taken the risk and

quote-unquote to get theirs in the midst

of chaos so again how does this happen

well nationally there are three things

number one and remember America has not

the resources in to the poor and

indigent communities for education and

the plummeting schools public schools

number two redlining has caused banks

and financial institutions to abandon

poorer communities and bra a heart too

many witty inventions that could have

helped to transform the very same

community and third and lastly many

people who are affluent have abandoned

left behind or forgotten about the

nation’s many of the nation’s lowest

loneliest as well as poorest people when

Jesus said the Spirit of the Lord is

upon me and has anointed me to preach

the gospel to the poor and he said that

first so how then do we breach yes

they become the resident yes how do we

yet become the repeaters of the breach

and restorer of the streets that we live

in well it will see there are two things

I know for certain and that is that

people need skills and maybe the

opportunity what you saw in the video

with the success that Michaels

transportation was the fact that people

coming out of prison formerly

incarcerated people who would supposedly

bad people they became some of the

business good people you ever want to

meet now they have skills and they don’t

have to beg for anything and they don’t

have to take anything from anybody

because they know how to make a living

for themselves and importantly to

provide for their family and not only

that this is but every day here in

Vallejo and in micro stress petition

we’re hearing the testimony of how their

children are back in school that

children are doing well in school

and in fact the children are even

excelling in school families have been

reconciled people now have pride and are

able and it’s also called it to go from

a negative one

– a-plus thick well I’m here in fusions

428 listen let me listen it says let

those who stole what nothing and still

no more and therefore listen let them go

to work that means that they have a job

right

and then working with their hand and

that’s not just a job

that’s having a skill doing businesses

and doing good right that means a

person’s heart has been transformed and
