“You’re Closer Than You Think” – Touré Roberts

you gotta have a theme you got to have a

title so my title for today’s is you’re

closer than you think you’re closer get

closer you’re closer than you think

and I want us to look at mark the sixth

chapter and we’re going to look at the

first six verses of Mark and it’s not an

unfamiliar passage of Scripture if

you’ve been reading your Bible it’s an

interesting story and and and I’ve got

to admit that I’ve recently I’m looking

at this passage differently and I want

to give you the backdrop the backdrop

those things that preceded this chapter

what happened was Jesus prior to here

was supernaturally turned up I mean he

is so supercharged he is healing

everybody of everything everywhere I

mean he’s just walking by and women with

issues of blood are pressing their way

to him saying if I could just touch the

hem of His garment I’ll behold so people

are just touching him and he’s getting

and they’re getting healed he’s raising

people from the dead people are coming

to him saying my daughter is dying and

she dies and he raises her back up to

life I mean Jesus as it relates to power

and ability and ministry I mean

multitudes are following him he’s

preaching profound wisdom I mean as it

relates to those things he is at the top

of this game well I mean and people are

flocking to Jesus because they are

getting from Jesus what they cannot get

any place else they are walking for

miles upon miles to get to this man that

they have never even seen they have just

heard of what he has done and as a

result of their faith and their

desperation they are moving they’re

trying to get to Jesus

people are taking off roofs and being

lowered in

two houses trying to get to this man

Jesus because this man Jesus is doing

things that have never been done before

his room is healing people wow I never

looked at it that way and people’s lives

are changing it is just crazy and then

this happens it says now when he had

when he had went out from there where is

there the place the place where he was

pursued passionately and desperately and

as a result of him being pursued

passionately and desperately people were

seeing things that they have never seen

before happen so when he goes out from

there and came to his own country and

his disciples followed him and when the

Sabbath had come he began to teach in

the synagogue it’s the same thing he was

doing in those other places and many

hearing him were astonished does that

sound like what we talked about last

week and many hearing him were

astonished saying where did this man get

these it seems that they’re doing okay

but watch the turn and what wisdom is

this which is given to him that such

mighty works are performed by his hands

that were doing okay right but watch the

turn is this not the carpenter the son

of Mary and the brother James Joseph

Judas and Simon and are not his sister’s

here with us so they were offended at

him I don’t understand oh he just came

from these places where people are

pursuing him they’re fighting to get to

him

and as a result of it they’re getting

heal from all

diseases things they’ve had forever and

and here he’s doing the same thing he’s

just walking and talking and teaching

and these mighty works are there but for

some reason when he gets to his own

country this familiar rarity factor

kicks in and now they like yeah I see

all this foot wait a minute

hey ain’t you married oh boy and an

aren’t you solar cells brother and in

fact your sisters are hanging out with

us even to this day and they were

offended at him in verse four it says

but jesus said to them man a prophet is

not without honor except in his own

country among his own relatives and in

his own house and it says now he could

do no mighty work there except that he

laid his hands on a few sick people and

healed them and he marveled because of

their unbelief then he went about the

villages in a circuit teaching I at the

root of this message prophetically for

you is I believe that God has a lot more

for you that you have not tapped into

yet I will come down and talk to you so

bad

as I was praying the word that he gave

me for you is that where you are versus

where God wants to take you what you

have versus what God wants to bring into

your life what you are walking in versus

what God wants you to walk in are two

completely different things and the only

problem is perception

it was the same Jesus the same miracles

the same power the same authority that

was working tremendously over here but

could do very little over there it

wasn’t that he lacked the power it was

that they lacked the perception that

would unlock that power in their own

life but what got me was it says that I

used to when I when I read that story

when I used to read that story I Loki

used to feel sorry for Jesus I did

because here is Jesus

humble lowly Jesus and everybody outside

of his own family are being moved by him

are being blessed by him and then Jesus

besides his own come home be amongst

loved ones friends family and relatives

and surely they are going to welcome him

and celebrate him as the powerful

Messiah that he was but instead they

questioned him reject him and ultimately

are offended by him and in my immaturity

I just saw a picture of Jesus walking

away sad saying a prophet ain’t got no

honor and the truth of the matter is I

still feel very sorry about the text but

I don’t feel sorry for Jesus I feel

sorry for those who had proximity but no

promise and one of the things that I’m

learning as I begin to walk with God

more and more is that availability and

accessibility are two completely

different things because the power was

present to heal when he showed up in his

own country but because they were seeing

him right they could not access what was

available what in your life right now

might be so close to you

that it could kiss you in your mouth but

because you are so familiar with it

you can’t get no

oh-oh-oh

what becomes too familiar to you you

will inevitably take for granted

Oh take my time and sometimes our very

faith becomes common Jesus in our lives

that’s why people say Jesus is my

homeboy and I know the t-shirts and some

of you probably got t-shirt and I’m not

mad at you but but but I don’t know if

you should look at him that way because

Jesus is not my homeboy

I got homeboys and I’m fond of my

homeboys and I love my homeboys and they

add things to my life that that nobody

else you have but but Jesus is not my

homeboy because it is my homeboy he

cannot be my god because none of my

homeboys oh my god and sometimes we get

so comfortable with Jesus that we cannot

receive because what I’ve learned is

according to your ability to honor on a

certain level on the level that you

honor will be the level that you receive

and so Jesus is a tiny just sweet little

babies is my homie you’re gonna miss the

god factor when Jesus is your homie

because your homies cannot work miracles

in your life your homie cannot open

doors that no man can shut so even with

our faith even with our faith we get

familiar we walk up in church

and we’re just like oh praise God so

good to be here let’s see what happens

instead of walking into just like this

is the day this is the day that will my

Baptist go I’m about to go ahead and

make him up well uh huh come on choir Oh

that’s enough have enough that’s good my

best day bout to go in about to go in so

what I’m getting at is even even even

our faith becomes common we’re not

excited about it it’s just it’s just

there and and we’re happy about it and

we’re cool but we don’t have this sense

of awe over our faith and when we don’t

have this sense of awe over our faith in

our relationship with God what God can

do in our life becomes restricted there

was only one problem the miracles were

there the power was there Jesus was

there the only thing that was lacking

was honour and anything that you do not

honor will one day leave you it’s going

to leave you because because because I

got the four points like I said but but

I want to get to because because because

everything that God has created has a

reward in it it does and the way that

you get the reward out of it is through

honor and that’s why in a marriage or in

a relationship the moment that you get

too comfortable and too familiar where

you stop being in awe you are going to

start missing the treasure that the

other person has in them because the

only thing that will activate the

release of that treasure is your honor

okay all right all right I’m telling you

you stop saying thank you

you saw thank you so much oh thank you

and let that person give and you don’t

say thank you or you don’t celebrate or

appreciate what they give I guarantee

you they’ll stop giving honor is

powerful honor is to say I’m valuable it

to say I’m worth something so Jesus was

there the miracles were there the power

there the only thing missing was honor

but what got me was it says that I used

to feel like like Jesus

I felt like Jesus got his feelings hurt

and he walked away sad and mumbled to

himself a prophet is not without honor

except in his own country and he had to

go into other towns where he was

celebrated right he didn’t stay around

where he was tolerated he went to where

he was celebrated that’s what I used to

think and I do believe in that principle

I do but there was something that jumped

out at me and those words that made me

think a little differently it says he

marveled because of their unbelief it

says then he went about the village is

what villages those same villages he

went about he went around those villages

in a circuit teaching so if if this were

his own country and he went there and he

he tried to do his thing and they

rejected him it doesn’t say he left per

se it just says he went around it says

in a circuit this is right there in a

circle in a circle teaching so he didn’t

leave he just circled it and so I

stopped asking myself Lord white why did

you circle it why didn’t you just go cuz

I thought like as I read earlier I

thought that when that happened he just

went to other places he didn’t leave he

just went on the outside he stay

clothes and he kept teaching he kept

doing his thing but he stayed close and

I said why and then God gave me this

analogy and I thought about when you’re

on an airplane and you have a

destination and you’re the part of an

airplane you got a deposit of people to

bring into the airport sometimes when

the runway is not clear you can’t land

and so what do you do you circle because

you you are determined to get there and

because you got a deposit to make you’ve

got some people that need to get

somewhere you determined to get

somewhere but but as long as there are

things on the runway prohibiting your

landing then you keep circling and

flying around and I thought about it I

said God wants to do some things in our

lives but we’ve got things on the runway

of our lives that are prohibiting Jesus

Airlines from landing on our runway

there things in the way and so I want to

talk about I want to give you four

things that we must do or think four

ideas I will clear the runway so that

that miracle can land as God desires it

tell anybody the miracle near for real

anybody need to see something that that

you cannot produce by yourself so I want

to so because you’re close you’re closer

than you think as a matter of fact I

believe that the miracle is circling

some of you right now it’s circling some

of you it’s close its close but but

there’s not enough room on your runway

for this big gigantic thing that Jesus

wants to bring to land so he has to

circle but he has that left and the

promise of not gone and what I wanted to

tell you you’re closer than you think

what God promised you is closer than you

think but there are some things that you

have to remove

out of the way so that he can land the

first one the first thing you have to do

is you have to release irrelevant

questions you have to release irrelevant

questions you know it’s funny if we go

back to the text so Jesus comes it comes

to the synagogue he’s teaching he’s

preaching they’re astonished it’s going

so well they’re astonished at what he’s

doing it’s amazing Wow these words and

his mighty works Wow and then these

fools start asking questions

where did this man get these things let

me tell you something when you need a

miracle I don’t care if you stole it

from 7-eleven if it shows up that’s

between you and 70 left I got nothing to

do with that if I’m thirsty and I pray

to God for some water and you show up

with the water that ain’t none of my

business about I mean it you’ve got to

figure that out I pray I got nothing to

do with that you all work that out okay

all I know irrelevant questions

where did this man get these things and

what wisdom is this which is given that

such mighty works are performed by his

head who cares and what happens in our

own lives is God trying to move in our

lives and we’ve got all these doggone

questions okay god I know you said this

but what’s going to happen over there

and if I do this over there then what’s

how’s this going to work and how’s it

going to work out and I hear God saying

every time you ask a question the plane

continues to circle because the runway

is filled with irrelevant questions that

do not matter and you’re asking me these

questions by you asking me these

questions you are proving to me that you

do not know who I am you do not know

that all I got to do is fake a thing and

it’s done I don’t have to answer to you

if I say it’s going to happen happen too

many questions on the runway and every

time you question and every moment you

spend questioning is another loop in the

air irrelevant questions I’ll be honest

with you some things and none of your

business all you know is that you afraid

God promised you heard it and what you

do from that point is you set everything

in your life into the ready ready

position in anticipation for what is to

come knowing that everything that is

needed to be worked out is already

worked out it’s not your job to clean up

where God has shown up

it’s got your job they start asking

questions and and what’s crazy is the

moment that they begin to ask questions

everything is going downhill when the

staff Academy began to teach in the

synagogue a mini hearing and where a

stylist

that’s going really good but then they

start asking question is that something

start going down here what did this man

get this thing get these things watch

the progress in the questioning what did

this man get these things and what

wisdom is this which is given to him

that such mighty works are performed by

his hands then watch this and keep going

the question to keep going is that this

the carpenter son of Mary and brother of

Jesus Joseph Judas and Simon and are not

his sister’s here with us so they were

offended in him their questions talked

them out of their miracle did you see it

they started off astonished they left

off offended simply because they gave

themselves over to irrelevant questions

I’m thinking about the faith of the

Centurion remember the Centurion in

Scripture read the whole Bible it’s in

their promises but there’s a Centurion

and he’s a Roman soldier and a Centurion

sent Centennial he was over a thousand

he was over a thousand soldiers right

this Roman soldier caught a Centurion

and I love it because he has this

encounter where his servant was sick

right he’s not even Jewish right he’s

not even a person of the faith so to

speak but he had heard of Jesus but he

didn’t have that familiar thing and so

he goes to Jesus and he says eases my my

servant is sick can you please heal my

servant jesus said yeah let me come to

your house and healing and and and the

SIRT and the Centurion said no no you

only have to come to my house I

understand how this works I’m a man of

authority he said speaker work just

speak a word and my servant will be

healed and watch how Jesus responds to

this good job guys

and he goes on and he says well for I’m

also a man under Authority having

soldiers under me this isn’t Centurion

talking to Jesus and I say to this one

go and he goes and to another come and

he comes into my servant do this and he

does it and then watch this encounter

when Jesus heard it he marvelled right

see count Jesus is marveling because of

unbelief in another account he is

marveling because of the leaf but look

at what he says when Jesus heard it he

marvelled and he said to those who

followed assuredly I say to you I have

not found such great faith not even in

Israel in other words not even amongst

those who are supposed to believe see

the Centurions gonna have a whole bunch

of irrelevant questions here I don’t

even need you I don’t have to figure out

how you gonna here I just know that if

you put your word on it if you just

speak this word that says that that my

service is going to be healed I don’t

have to ask questions about how you’re

going to do is you don’t even have to

come to my house I just believe it

because you said it I am desperate for

your word because the word has power but

what happens when we get too familiar

with Jesus and we get too familiar with

faith and we get too familiar with our

relationship with God his abilities in

our lives become diminished release

those irrelevant questions are some of

you right now and the plane wants to

land who that’s a plane with the things

that God is after the Lord things that

God has promised you but the only

problem is your runway is not ready the

first thing is release the irrelevant

questions the second thing is you have

to restore your aw and you wonder

man let’s just keep it on you I think

man I think we’re spoiled right you all

with God and God starts blessing you and

and and and this is all of us right

right I’m holding my hand up okay

we can’t spoil man God so good to us

he just blesses us and doors open all

that kind of stuff man and life is good

and you know and paycheck-to-paycheck

ain’t happy no more you got 17 dollars

left over when it’s all done now and and

and your life seems to kind of settle I

get uncomfortable when things get too

comfortable I’ve been walking with God

long enough to know that I actually need

to meet God you understand what I’m

saying I kind of like need I need to

meet God because because I do need God

and need me needing to need God is an

acknowledgment that I need God but

sometimes I don’t think I need God so I

need to meet God because I only have

truth when I need to need God because I

do need him all the time but sometimes

because my needs are met I don’t think I

needed I was thinking about in that text

I was thinking about it said that he

couldn’t do many works there could do

many mind works

it says except for a few people that

needed healing and I thought about that

and I said who must these few people

have been they be probably look at them

other people like yeah yeah y’all just

be comfortable yeah he’s familiar he see

others get out the way because as soon

as I get a straight shot at Jesus I’ve

been holding on to this illness and this

ailment for a long time yeah y’all don’t

believe if you want to I’m a rush right

in there because there will always be a

few desperate people there will always

be a few people that will seize

opportunities that we leave on the

table hmm I’m trying figure out to say

this right I one of my greatest fears is

for somebody to be hungrier for God than

me and lay hold of my destiny that I was

too comfortable and familiar with in

order to lay hold out oh I feel right

there see there’s some people in this

room right now and your advantage is

your hunger I feel it right there boy

I want to impart hunger your advances is

your hunger because what has happened is

God has blessed so many people and they

have eaten so much they’ve eaten so much

that they have gotten comfortable and

they’re not hungry for the things of God

because they think that they have

reached the end of what God is going to

do in their life but how many of us know

all you got to do is stay hungry and you

go from level to level from glory to

glory because as wide as you can open

your mouth

will be the capacity in which God feels

you don’t get comfortable stay hungry

I’m thinking about those few people who

got healed and who knows what the

healing was but they’re like oh okay you

coming by yeah and they probably were in

the crowd faking like it ain’t but

Mary’s baby yeah and let the crowd

dispersed and they went right in there

we got to restore our ah and I wonder I

remember there was a pastor from Africa

I think God for Africa and it was a

pastor from Africa and he said something

that convicted me and I’m it’s about ten

years ago and he said something that

convicted me and he said you in the West

he said you guys believe in God true he

said we in Africa we depend on God in

rats me

it rats me it wrecked me because he was

absolutely right and that’s why people

are being raised from the dead in Africa

that’s why blind eyes are opening in

Africa that’s why the lame is walking in

Africa it’s the same Jesus the same

Jesus the same opportunity for healing

and breakthrough the same miracle

working power the only difference is the

hunger the only difference is the

perspective I want I want God to restore

our ahh and I want to we come in is this

this tabernacle the cominis this place

where God meets us my god what are you

going to do today he think about his

disciples they didn’t leave all

following him because they saw him as

ordinary common or playing they win on

this incredible journey with Jesus

because every day was an adventure one

day there was a dilemma that looked like

two fish and five loaves of bread

amongst 10,000 people right because it’s

5,000 plus women and children so

arguably 10,000 people to fish and five

loaves of bread

they went from dilemma to miracle and

all of a sudden all these people are

being fed people coming up to Jesus lame

and crippled and blind and Jesus healing

them they were like there is we don’t

know what’s going to happen today we

just know that Jesus got it and it’s

going to be awesome and they left

everything and followed him

I want that type of all I want to wake

up every day with Jesus saying what are

we going to do today what’s going to

happen today so these people who were

too familiar with Jesus could not even

see they live

two different universes one universe of

limitations and the others live in a

universe where all things were possible

and the only difference was their

perception and so the question is what

world do you want to live in did you

want to live in a world where Jesus

wants to show up but he can’t show up

because you haven’t created enough space

for him or do you want to live in the

world where you work hard and you press

into clearing the runway so that your

God can land the plane and have things

show up in your life going to beyond

anything you could have ever imagined

that’s where we get into the second

thing is restore your awe and your

wonder the third thing is this never

lack honor honor is everything as I

mentioned before everything that God

creates has a reward in it right now you

have a reward in you there’s something

that God has placed on the inside of you

and if someone honors you properly the

best of you will come out are you

tracking anything like I believe I

believe in every human being I’m sound

care what you’ve been through I don’t

care what’s going on I don’t care you

down how you could be on the street on

the sidewalk

drinking whatever it because I know

what’s in you and so literally I honor

everybody because I know if there’s

something in you and not only is there

something in you that I want to see God

bring out but if it comes out

I got a rewarding that too but never

never ever lack honor it was interesting

I was at a I was at a conference this

weekend my father-in-law’s conferences

in gallus this weekend is amazing

pastors and leaders conference and and

in this one particular session

I watched via live stream because I

didn’t make it in that morning and I

watch the via livestream and they’re

people who come from all around the

world to sit at the feet and hear the

wisdom of a man that I sit down with and

have dinner with you know on a regular

write for me it’s dinner and

conversation to them it’s life

and I was blown away because I sat there

and and he was given away he had some I

guess like like a DVD series or a tape

series or whatever for leaders and he

had ten to give away and it’s his room

and eight thousand people are in this

room and he says you know a I’ve got

I’ve got ten of these things I want to

give away I want to give it to the first

ten ten passes that come down here right

of a room for the eight thousand I’ll be

honest with you I wouldn’t have run down

there and it’s not because I don’t

admire him or respect him 11 I’d notice

that there was something in there but I

just wasn’t hungry enough because quite

possibly I wasn’t seeing him right you

should have seen those pastors

particularly the ones who were from

other countries jump up and run down

there and by the time you know we

stopped the heard is about twenty people

he had to give Tim Moore away and

someone just hit in my head and I

started thinking like they see him right

and so and it was time for him to lay

hands on them right and I’m like oh

they’re getting ready to receive because

and it’s not because there is anything

different as it relates to anointing

between that day and another day but it

was the hunger in the room that when it

was time for him to lay hands he

wouldn’t even have had to land all he

would have to was just breeze on them

because their honor and their

expectation was at such a level that

they had already received before he even

touched him and they were falling out

all over the place and I thought about

it and I thought about my own kids and I

have literally hundreds of thousands of

people around the world getting their

life changed by the anointing that’s on

my life and sometimes the people who are

the closest to me are the most difficult

ones to get it to where I’m pastoring

people that are in the same demographic

as you they’re getting their life

changed by it and it’s just dad at

dinner to you isn’t that interesting

sometimes the miracle is right in front

of you but because you’re so familiar

you can’t get it I feel that for

somebody you’re closer than you think

for some of you right now what you’ve

been praying for is in front of you just

like it was in front of them but because

of proximity the appropriate honor

slipped whereas you could be healed and

you could be so much further you’re

lacking honor I feel this with

somebody’s luggage that’s something

prophetic you’re mad at your boss

you’re mad at your boss you’re mad at

someone who is ahead of you and when you

decide to honor them something’s going

to be released because people that are

above you have a reward to give you but

if you are always sizing them up I’ll

sell it right there see see there’s no

authority that does not come from God no

authority so if someone is ahead of you

in their career they have authority over

you in that area and you can hate on

them all you want to but God took them

there you don’t like it the Bible says

all authorities are doing by God you can

hate on it all you want to but if they

are ahead of you there is something in

them that if you honor properly they

will release to you David let me tell

you something we’ve almost done in a

minute about an hour David

David understood this David was anointed

king and he was anointed king while Saul

was still positionally the King and

David honored so even though Sol was

trying to kill him Sol was throwing

javelins at him he was jealous of him

he’s throwing javelins and he said his

army out to get him but David never ever

attacked Saul he always honored Saul

because he knew that what God had for

him was for him and he was not going to

violate divine principles trying to lay

hold of something that was his already

if he would maintain his integrity are

you hearing me what God has for you is

for you there is no devil in hell no man

that can stop oh I feel God so what you

do is you just keep on honoring oh I

want to come down and talk to you but my

livestream people would be disadvantaged

I hear that strongly you need to submit

you need to humble yourself god help me

to see this person right because I don’t

like them but they got something on the

inside of me that I need help me honor

them so that I can get what belongs to

me because sometimes God will hide your

miracle in someone you hate because it’s

not just you getting it’s you becoming

and God want you to become before he

allows you to have because it’s always

about who you become would that be just

by God to bury the treasure of your

destiny in someone you can’t stand

because I have to become somebody to get

it

and lastly talking about clearing the

runway you’d have to create and live in

the atmosphere of faith I’m going to say

this and I’m done sometimes your runway

is too small for the plane that God

wants to land in your life faith you

think it’s a delay it’s not a delay God

is just giving you time to expand your

faith Wow God makes a promise God gives

you a word and when it gives you the

word there’s a measure of faith in that

word but it’s just a measure faith that

measure of faith has to grow and grow

and grow and grow to become big enough

to to receive the word that God spoke

it’s not here because my faith is not

there

I have faith for something that is about

a third of the size of what he promised

I’m not there yet are you tracking with

me it’s not that you’re waiting on God

this is what I’m telling you I’m saying

as I’m done I’ve learned since I’ve been

walking with God and I’ve seen blessings

from level to level here is one of the

number one things that I’ve learned I

have never been waiting on God he has

been waiting on me to grow up and Simba

tour and to expand in faith enough to

receive the moment that my faith got on

the level of that thing the thing

appeared not a second sooner faith is

this now faith is the substance of

things hoped for it is the evidence of

things not seen

so when God gives me a word he gives me

faith but my faith has to grow up and

when my faith has matured to the size of

the miracle not a second sooner nor a

second later the moment that my faith is

equal to what he promised it manifests

clearing the runway often times has to

do with moving the debris of doubt

off the landing strip long will shoulder

what I brought you here or what you came

here to receive is that there’s more and

when your faith becomes common when

anything it becomes common and familiar

when your faith becomes common when you

lose your wonder of Jesus and you lose

your being aw struck about Jesus did you

come in here saying Jesus I can’t wait

to meet you in the house amongst

believers but as you come saying I’m

excited but let’s see what happens in

church I want I want my prayer for you

is so much bigger than Church my prayer

for you is that there is a revival that

happens in you and that there is a

restoration of awe and wonder at his

name that he that he’s not your homeboy

because he’s not stopped at he ain’t

that could be a part of him but not

delete I don’t even like it to be honest

with you to each his own whatever but I

think that you lose something when you

bring Jesus too low I think you lose

something when you bring him too low

like you dab in with Jesus maybe but not

all not so much

I’m not dabbing Jesus

I’m grateful thank you for saving me

thank you for not allowing me to die

thank you that I’m in my right mind

thank you for bringing me through that

and that and that over there and that

back there you know my homeboy in my

king you’re my leader and I’ll follow

you if you’re here i’ma pray for you if

you’re here and you need to recommit

your honor to Jesus you need to recommit

your life to him if you’re here when you

say I want for my off and my wonder in

the Lord to be restored I want you to

come and leave me here this also right

now you’re hearing God speaking to you

you’re closer than you think

God’s been circling you know you know

why he was circling you know why he

didn’t leave cause he loves them and he

knew that it wasn’t even that they were

evil it wasn’t even that that was

keeping them from honoring him it was

that it was just a cry be too familiar

and they knew he knew he’s like I ain’t

going too far

i’ma keep circling I’ma be out in the

village I’m gonna keep teaching because

they don’t get it they’re gonna get who

I am and things are going to open out

they’re going to open up I see it Oh

and they’re going to be astonished again

and the debris of doubt and anxiety is

going to be removed from your runway

you’re not going to lack on it you’re

going to honor God and you’re going to

others some people right now and the

problem in your marriage or the problem

in your relationship is that you’ve

gotten too comfortable you’ve gotten too

familiar the problem in your church you

can’t even receive from your pastor

that’s why you know I like to to get

close to people but there’s a part of me

that doesn’t want to because the moment

that you see a little bit of my humanity

you will no longer be able to receive

the fullness of my divinity and that’s

the crazy conflict and that’s one of the

reasons why I don’t let people get real

close

and it’s not that I’m being aloof it’s

not that it’s better for you for you to

stay at a distance so that you all

always see me right it’s better for you

because the reality of it is the best

part of me is what you see right here is

the anointing and the words that comes

out of my mouth

trust me it’s better for you

better for me it’s better for you if

there’s differences because very few

people are mature enough to handle both

humanity and divinity in the same flight

he’s got stuff for he’s got things for

you and it’s awesome because it’s like

getting saved all over again I think

every day we ought to get saved all over

again the joy of our salvation every

single day god I thank you for my

salvation I thank you for waking me up

this morning I think you did I have my

right mind

I thank you that I can walk and talk I

thank you that you’re still working in

my life I think that the best is still

yet to cover I think you still work in

miracles every single day Oh God

Oh creates space on your runway forgot

to land his miracle airliner he’s

circling but I think he’s getting ready

to land

I think he’s getting ready to land in

some of your lives I see it that planes

gonna land because you made room I

remember Oh God time suck I remember

i’ma tell a story I remember I was I was

flying in somewhere from somewhere and I

was flying in and the plane was getting

ready to land

and just imagine you’re getting ready to

land you start landing and then all of a

sudden right before you can read land

the plane pulls back up into the scare

I’ve never experienced anything like

that before and then he started circling

again and I said what happened and he

said at the last minute we were landing

but at the last minute some sort of

equipment got on the runway and I had to

pull up again if you’re here and you

know you need to be down here if God was

speaking to you

throughout the entire service and you

felt the Holy Spirit if you didn’t

that’s fine I’m not talking to you

that’s not you but you felt the Holy

Spirit throughout the entire service

touching you and your chest saying he’s

talking to me and you were getting ready

to warm out of here because there’s some

irrelevant questions that came in your

spirit something that came on the runway

and beginning to block you I want you to

come and meet me here at this altar I’m

beyond the time but but I just got that

father here we are and Lord it is almost

normal for us to take you for granted

how could we not when you are so good

when your mercy endures forever when

your goodness and mercy follows us all

the days of our lives when you shower us

with blessing and goodness when you are

slow to chasing us how could we not take

you for granted

and God we’re here to say we need you to

help us to not father I thank you for

your sons and daughters here at this

altar I think you got their hearts to

receive this message today and because

they had hearts to receive this message

today you’re doing a new work in their

life and God you told me that more is

coming that is the good news of all of

this that more that greater is on its

way all because we were willing to allow

you to change our perspective Lord we

repent and we renounce Lord any

spiritual disposition that would assume

that you are common you’re not just

Mary’s baby

you’re not just Jesus the carpenter

you’re God you are Savior you are our

Redeemer you are a miracle worker every

time we had irrelevant questions when

you told us to move forgive us and today

we’re taking up our questions that we’re

saying God it is none of our business

if you say go we’ll go if you say do we

will do and father we honor you and Lord

we’re going to prove it in our daily

disciplines when we get up in the

morning the first thing we’re going to

do is we’re going to give you thanks

when we roll out of bed the first place

that we’re going to stop is on our knees

that say thank you Jesus please be with

us in this day and God we’re going to

get rid of the doubt so that we can

create a space for the miracle that you

have promised I thank you for your love

for every person here and thank you God

for circling you could have gone on to

someone else you could have said I’m

going to give that destiny but somebody

who’s hungry but you didn’t do that at

all you said I’m going to keep circling

because I know that me who have done who

have begun a good work in you shall

complete it until the day of Jesus

Christ so we thank you for not leaving

us nor forsaking us but circling and now

god with arms stretched wide we say God

you can land now you have found a worthy

runway and now you can land we thank you

God please repeat after me Heavenly

Father I thank you for your love I

receive it Heavenly Father I thank you

for your grace it is abundant I thank

you for this word

you spoke to me you called me and I

embrace it I thank you for Jesus thank

you for making him who had no sin all of

mine all of my weakness all of my

shortcoming all of my failure you placed

in his body nailed it to the cross

and put it to death once and for all but

just as you raised him up free and

victorious because I’m in him

I’m raised up to my past is behind me my

future is greater and today god I honor

you new
